Blazing Demonhilt Sword

This sword was forged in the depths of the Hellfire Citadel and features a fiery blade emerging from a demonic hilt.

The sword has three different colour schemes, each dependent on the raid difficulty level completed.

Normal

Heroic

Mythic

You can obtain this sword by defeating Gurtogg Bloodboil (part of the Hellfire High Council) in the Hellfire Citadel raid.

The drop chance for the blade is consistent across all difficulty levels and stands at 13 %.

To access the raid:

1. Go to the portal room and speak to the special NPC at the entrance — they will send you to the Burning Steppes.
2. Once there, head to the southeastern part of the zone, where the Dark Portal is located, and enter it.
3. You’ll arrive in Tanaan Jungle, near the entrance to the raid.

The blade is a one‑handed sword that can roll with all three primary stats, so it can be equipped by any class that can wield one‑handed weapons.

• The sword has three colour schemes, each tied to a specific raid difficulty. Obtaining one version doesn’t reduce the chance of getting another — you can complete all four difficulty levels of the raid to try for each variant.

• Despite the seemingly decent drop chance, the actual odds of getting the specific colour scheme you want are relatively low. We recommend running the raid with multiple characters to increase your chances of obtaining the desired appearance.
