Thori'dal, the Stars Fury

Thori'dal, the Stars Fury is the first legendary bow in the game, tied to the power of the Sunwell and the history of the blood elves. Although the bow isn’t Kil’jaeden’s weapon and isn’t directly linked to him in the lore, it became a trophy proving that the blood elves and their allies managed to stop the Burning Legion’s invasion through the Sunwell.

To obtain the bow, you need to enter the Sunwell Plateau raid. Here’s how to get there:

1. Fly to Shattrath via your faction’s portal room.
2. Enter the portal in the central hall — it will transport you to the Isle of Quel’Danas.

Inside the raid, you must defeat Kil’jaeden while playing as a Hunter.

The bow’s drop chance is 0.3 %.

• Besides its appearance, the bow changes the character’s attack animation, replacing regular arrows with magical ones imbued with the Sunwell’s energy. This is the only bow that alters not just the item’s appearance but also the auto‑attack visuals.

• You can only leave the Isle of Quel’Danas using a hearthstone. To get there, you must use the portal — despite the island appearing close to the shore, you cannot reach it by mount.
