Varruth’s Guillotine

Varruth’s Guillotine is not a weapon that belonged to any legendary figure. However, it is highly valued among players due to its brutal appearance and the unique anima animation on the blade.

You can get this sword by defeating one of the rare mobs in the Zereth Mortis zone.

There are 11 possible mobs that can drop the sword, but the drop rate is extremely low — between 0.01 % and 0.18 %.

Besides the low drop chance, you may also face difficulties accessing Zereth Mortis. This zone is locked for players who haven’t experienced the Shadowlands expansion, and unlocking it requires significant time spent on completing quest chains.

If you’ve already unlocked the zone, accessing it is straightforward:

1. Go to your faction’s portal room.
2. Teleport to Oribos.
3. Go up to the second floor.
4. Find the special yellow portal that will take you to Zereth Mortis.

If the portal isn’t available, it means you haven’t completed the quest chain required to unlock the zone.

Once in Zereth Mortis, you just need to locate and defeat the rare mobs. Their spawn locations are marked on the map.

• Although the drop chance is very low and may require dozens of hours to obtain the sword, remember that there are 11 rare mobs, and their respawn time ranges from 5 to 30 minutes. The more mobs you defeat, the higher your chance of obtaining this rare sword.

• The sword is a two‑handed weapon, so only Warriors, Paladins, and Death Knights can obtain and transmogrify it.
