New Alchemy Recipes in World of Warcraft: Forever Profession Guide (Patch 12.1)
What's New?
In World of Warcraft: Forever, shown off at BlizzCon 2026, new profession recipes have turned up. They are sold by vendors of the Azeroth Commerce Authority — one of the factions carried over into Forever from Season of Discovery. Their market is located in Three Corners in Redridge. Alchemy got 29 recipes plus a separate item that unlocks a title. Every recipe is made from ordinary vanilla herbs and flasks — you won't have to farm anything new. The scrolls bind on pickup and cost 39 silver from the vendor, while the title certificate costs 80 silver.
How Do the New Potions and Elixirs Work?
Potions give a short effect: their buffs last 30 seconds and they all share a 2-minute cooldown. Elixirs are built for the long game and last 30 minutes, so you drink them ahead of time.
Thrown Potions
Two potions are thrown at a targeted spot: they create a cloud that damages or weakens everyone standing in it.
Caustic Smog Potion
- Thrown at a targeted spot: for 12 seconds a cloud of caustic smog appears, and enemies inside take 285–315 Nature damage each second. Cooldown — 2 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 45 | 265 | Ghost Mushroom (2), Grave Moss (2), Crystal Vial |

The damage ticks every second for all twelve seconds, so the cloud is most worthwhile dropped on a tight pack of enemies. Ghost Mushroom only grows in caves and remains the most troublesome ingredient.
Disorienting Smog Potion
- Thrown at a targeted spot: for 8 seconds a cloud of disorienting smog appears, and enemies inside have their chance to hit reduced by 15%. Cooldown — 2 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 45 | 180 | Ghost Mushroom (3), Grave Moss (2), Crystal Vial |

Instead of damage, a defensive effect: everyone in the cloud starts missing more often. The skill threshold here is noticeably lower than the caustic version, though it needs the same level.
Damage-over-Time Potions
Two more potions apply damage stretched out over time onto an enemy.
Dragonfire Potion
- Breathe dragonfire: 450 Fire damage immediately in a narrow cone in front of the character, then 125 damage every 2 seconds for 8 seconds. Cooldown — 2 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 35 | 245 | Mountain Silversage (2), Firebloom (2), Crystal Vial |

It strikes in a cone in front of you, so it only works up close. In return it hits several enemies at once and adds a burn.
Potion of Venomous Blood
- Grants 10 charges of venomous blood for 20 seconds. Each time the character takes bleed damage, one charge jumps to an enemy within 8 yards. A charge deals 325 Nature damage when it expires. Cooldown — 2 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 30 | 275 | Gromsblood (3), Plaguebloom (2), Crystal Vial |

The potion only works when the character is bleeding themselves — that is, in melee and under attack. In exchange, the damage flows back into the enemy.
Stat Potions
Short 30-second buffs: three basic, three greater and one niche.
Frenzy Potion
- Increases attack power by 14 for 30 seconds. Cooldown — 2 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | 140 | Grave Moss (2), Briarthorn (2), Leaded Vial |

The basic option for those who fight with a weapon. Both herbs are gathered in mid-level zones.
Mender's Potion
- Increases healing by 28 for 30 seconds. Cooldown — 2 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | 130 | Wintersbite (2), Firebloom (2), Leaded Vial |

The same thing, but for healers. Wintersbite only grows in Winterspring, so you'll have to haul the herbs in from far away.
Spellblasting Potion
- Increases spell damage by 14 for 30 seconds. Cooldown — 2 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | 135 | Wild Steelbloom, Grave Moss, Empty Vial |

The cheapest recipe of the trio: one of each herb and a plain Empty Vial.
Major Frenzy Potion
- Increases attack power by 40 for 30 seconds. Cooldown — 2 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 290 | Plaguebloom (3), Blindweed (2), Imbued Vial |

Almost three times as strong as the basic one, but the requirements differ too: level 55 and 290 skill.
Major Mender's Potion
- Increases healing by 75 for 30 seconds. Cooldown — 2 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 280 | Dreamfoil (3), Sungrass, Imbued Vial |

The healing bonus rises from 28 to 75 — that already makes a difference in the tough moments of a fight.
Major Spellblasting Potion
- Increases spell damage by 40 for 30 seconds. Cooldown — 2 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 285 | Dreamfoil (2), Mountain Silversage, Imbued Vial |

The greater version for spellcasters. Dreamfoil and Mountain Silversage grow in high-level zones.
Potion of Elemental Siphoning
- Increases spell damage by 265 against elementals. Lasts 2 minutes, cooldown — 2 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 40 | 280 | Firebloom (2), Wintersbite (2), Crystal Vial |

The number is huge, but it only works against elementals. On the upside, it lasts a full two minutes rather than thirty seconds like the other potions.
Health and Mana Elixirs
These elixirs last 30 minutes and add a buffer of durability or mana return.
Elixir of Greater Fortitude
- Increases maximum health by 400 for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 200 | Sungrass (4), Crystal Vial |

Just one herb in the recipe, but four of it at once. Sungrass grows in level-fifty zones and is cheap on the auction house.
Elixir of the Phalanx
- Grants 400 maximum health and 500 armor for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 250 | Golden Sansam (2), Sungrass (4), Crystal Vial |

The same health as the previous one, plus armor — this elixir is clearly meant for tanks.
Elixir of Wicked Regeneration
- Restores 9 health and 10 mana every 5 seconds for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 285 | Golden Sansam (3), Dreamfoil (2), Crystal Vial |

A rare case where a single elixir covers both health and mana at once. Useful for hybrids who alternate between healing and fighting.
Greater Mageblood Elixir
- Restores 20 mana every 5 seconds for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 175 | Blindweed (3), Arthas' Tears (2), Crystal Vial |

The skill threshold is low for such an effect — 175. Both herbs grow in the Eastern Plaguelands and Stranglethorn Vale.
Lesser Mageblood Elixir
- Restores 6 mana every 5 seconds for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | 75 | Kingsblood (3), Empty Vial |

The junior version, available almost right away: one herb, a plain vial and 75 skill.
Healing and Spell Damage Elixirs
Four 30-minute elixirs for those who heal or cast.
Lesser Arcane Elixir
- Increases spell damage by 15 for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | 120 | Kingsblood (4), Leaded Vial |

An early elixir for spellcasters: four Kingsblood and a Leaded Vial.
Lesser Cleric's Elixir
- Increases healing from spells and effects by 20 for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | 95 | Kingsblood (2), Liferoot (2), Leaded Vial |

The healer's counterpart to the arcane elixir, and its skill threshold is even lower.
Greater Cleric's Elixir
- Increases healing from spells and effects by 40 for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 195 | Arthas' Tears (3), Purple Lotus, Crystal Vial |

Twice as strong as the lesser one. Only one Purple Lotus is needed, but it's gathered in the same zones as for the vanilla raid elixirs.
Elixir of Nature Power
- Increases Nature school spell damage by 40 for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 285 | Golden Sansam (4), Sungrass (2), Crystal Vial |

A specialist elixir for shamans and druids: the bonus only applies to Nature damage.
Stat Elixirs
Nine elixirs that simply add stats for 30 minutes.
Elixir of Cunning
- Grants 25 Agility and 25 Intellect for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 275 | Dreamfoil (3), Gromsblood (2), Crystal Vial |

Two stats in one elixir — handy for hybrids like druids and shamans.
Elixir of Ferocity
- Grants 18 Strength and 18 Agility for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 275 | Gromsblood (3), Ghost Mushroom, Crystal Vial |

The option for melee fighters. Only one Ghost Mushroom is needed, but you'll have to dive into caves for it.
Elixir of Greater Spirit
- Grants 18 Spirit for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 165 | Arthas' Tears (3), Purple Lotus (2), Crystal Vial |

The most accessible skill-wise of the level-55 elixirs — just 165.
Elixir of the Grizzly
- Grants 25 Strength and 2% critical strike chance for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 300 | Gromsblood (3), Blindweed, Crystal Vial |

It requires 300 skill — the ceiling of vanilla alchemy. Strength plus crit make it the best choice for warriors and rogues.
Elixir of Lesser Intellect
- Grants 6 Intellect for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | 95 | Kingsblood (3), Leaded Vial |

Early and cheap: one herb and a Leaded Vial.
Elixir of Lesser Spirit
- Grants 6 Spirit for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | 65 | Wild Steelbloom (2), Mageroyal, Empty Vial |

The skill threshold is just 65 — the lowest of all the new alchemy recipes.
Elixir of the Owl
- Grants 25 Intellect and 2% critical strike chance for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 280 | Dreamfoil (4), Mountain Silversage (2), Imbued Vial |

Intellect and crit in one vial — a specialist elixir for mages, warlocks and priests.
Elixir of Sages
- Grants 25 Spirit and 2% critical strike chance for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 275 | Dreamfoil (4), Golden Sansam (2), Imbued Vial |

The same set as the Elixir of the Owl, but with Spirit instead of Intellect.
Elixir of the Whale
- Grants 25 Spirit and 2% critical strike chance for 30 minutes.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | 275 | Dreamfoil (3), Gromsblood, Crystal Vial |

By its description it fully matches the Elixir of Sages; only the ingredients and vial differ.
Alchemist Title
Alchemy Certification
- Unlocks the “Alchemist” title permanently and instantly for all characters on the account. Only a character with 300 alchemy skill will be able to display the title.
| Required level | Alchemy skill | Vendor price |
|---|---|---|
| — | 300 | 80 silver |

This isn't a recipe but a separate item. Every crafting profession has such a certification, and it costs twice as much as an ordinary recipe scroll.
Who Is This For?
The list is arranged by leveling: the junior recipes unlock at level 25 with 65–140 skill, while the senior ones require level 55 and 250–300 skill. There are no rare herbs on the list — they're all gathered in ordinary zones of Azeroth, and the flasks are sold by reagent vendors.
Combat potions are a novelty that vanilla alchemy never had at all: two thrown clouds and two sources of damage over time give the alchemist their own tools in a fight. The elixirs, meanwhile, cover the familiar roles: the phalanx for tanks, the cleric's and mender's elixirs for healers, the arcane and owl ones for casters, and the grizzly and ferocity for melee fighters.
