Get Armored Blue Dragonhawk mount

Armored Blue Dragonhawk — a flying dragonhawk mount clad in blue and gold battle armor bearing the Alliance crest. Added in patch 5.5.0 of Mists of Pandaria, it is awarded for the collection achievement Mount Parade — you need to collect 200 different mounts on a single Alliance character.

For the Horde there is a mirror equivalent — Armored Red Dragonhawk, awarded for the Horde version of the same achievement.

• Unique visual model — a dragonhawk in armored barding not found on any other mount of this model.
• One of the intermediate mounts in the collection achievement series — a convenient milestone on the road to larger rewards (mounts for 250, 300, and beyond are even more valuable).
• Automatically unlocked for all Alliance characters on your account upon obtaining, meaning any alt gains access to it.

• Character of the Alliance faction (the Horde version is the Armored Red Dragonhawk).
• Minimum level 27 and riding skill (in the current expansion this is not a barrier).
• 200 different mounts in your collection, counted on a single Alliance character.
• Flying riding is only needed to use the mount in flight — it does not affect the achievement.

The Mount Parade achievement is counted based on the number of mounts available to the specific character, not the total in your account collection. This is an important nuance: if you have 220 mounts in your journal but 40 of them are Horde or class-specific (e.g., Druid or Death Knight mounts), an Alliance Warrior may have fewer than 200 counted.

How to check current progress:

1. Open the Mount Journal (Shift+P → Mounts tab).
2. The upper right corner of the journal window shows the number of mounts available to that character.
3. Open the Achievements window (Y) → Collections tab → Mounts and check progress on the tier series.

1. Check Your Current Collection

Log in on your Alliance character and look at the achievement progress. If you only need a few more to reach 200 — just fill in what's missing. If the counter is much lower — plan your sources.

2. Collect Cheap and Guaranteed Mounts

The fastest collection growth comes from guaranteed sources that don't rely on drops:

• Reputation mount vendors. Most classic expansion factions sell mounts upon reaching Exalted. With the account-wide reputation progress setting enabled, some reputations carry over between characters.
• Gold-purchased mount vendors. Standard racial and class mounts from riding trainers in Alliance capitals.
• Achievement mounts — many achievements award a mount immediately with no RNG: profession leveling, continent exploration, old raids on Normal difficulty.
• Gold-earning mounts. Achievements like "Paved with Gold" and similar.
• Seasonal events. Every holiday (Lunar Festival, Pirates' Day, Hallows End, etc.) has its own mounts with guaranteed purchase or fixed drop rates.

3. Fill in the Remaining Spots by Farming Old Raids

Once easy sources are exhausted, the most efficient path is the weekly farming of old raids and dungeons for mounts. Legacy content (Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria) can be soloed in 5–15 minutes per run, and many mounts from those expansions have a 1–3% drop chance.

If your goal is specifically to reach 200, drops aren't required: you can simultaneously purchase reputation and event mounts while farming.

4. Wait for the Achievement

As soon as your Alliance character has 200 different mounts, the Mount Parade achievement triggers automatically, and the mount appears in the collection of all eligible Alliance characters on your account. Unlike some older rewards, you don't need to wait for a letter with an item — the mount is added directly to your journal.

• Watch for seasonal sales at mount vendors. During major holidays (e.g., Dungeon Week, WoW anniversary) temporary mounts and bonuses appear in shops — a convenient way to fill in the last 5–10 slots.
• Account for class and race restrictions. Some mounts (e.g., Death Knight, Druid, or Legion class hall mounts) are only available to specific classes — they only count toward the achievement on characters of the appropriate class.
• Don't rush expensive gold vendor purchases. Reputation mounts are often cheaper and faster than epic mounts from vendors costing 100,000+ gold.
• If you play Horde. Get the mirror mount — Armored Red Dragonhawk — for the equivalent Horde achievement Mount Parade. Mount collection progress is shared account-wide, so mounts collected on Alliance characters help your Horde alt too.
