Get Astral Aurochs mount

Astral Aurochs is an epic flying mount added in patch 11.2.5 of The War Within expansion. It is a celestial bull wreathed in astral energy, with constellations shimmering through its semi-transparent body. The mount supports dynamic flight and is granted for purchasing a 12-month World of Warcraft subscription.

The Astral Aurochs is one of the most spectacular mounts in the "From the Shop" category. The bull has a unique animation when you use /mountspecial and a distinctive lowing sound when you mount it.

• Guaranteed acquisition — no farming and no percentage chance. You buy the subscription, you get the mount.
• Dynamic flight support — the Astral Aurochs works fully in dynamic flight mode, including all maneuvers and boosts.
• Unique model — a celestial bull with an astral effect that stands out among most mounts in the game. Stars and constellations are visible inside its semi-transparent body.
• Account-wide — once acquired, the mount becomes available on all characters on your account.
• Unique animation — when you use /mountspecial the mount performs a special trick, and it makes a distinctive sound during normal riding.

The Astral Aurochs is not obtainable in the game world. It is a reward for purchasing or renewing a 12-month World of Warcraft subscription.

Option 1: New Subscription

1. Open the Battle.net app on your computer and log in to your account.
2. Go to the shop section — find the offer for the 12-month World of Warcraft subscription.
3. Purchase the subscription — choose the 12-month plan and complete the payment.
4. Check the "Gifts" section in the Battle.net app — the mount will appear there once the payment is processed.
5. Claim the gift — click the claim button and log in to the game.
6. Open your Mount Journal in-game (Shift+P by default) and find the Astral Aurochs in the "From the Shop" section.

Option 2: Existing Subscription

If you already have a 12-month subscription with automatic renewal:

1. Make sure the date of your next subscription renewal is no later than October 31, 2025
2. Check the "Gifts" section in the Battle.net app — the mount is delivered automatically
3. Claim the gift before April 30, 2026 — after this date unclaimed rewards expire

What's Included in the Bundle

In addition to the Astral Aurochs, the 12-month subscription includes extra rewards:

• Herald of Sa’bak — a flying mount with dynamic flight for retail WoW

At the time of writing, the Astral Aurochs is available exclusively through the 12-month subscription. After the promotion ends, the mount may appear in the Battle.net shop as a standalone item, but this is not guaranteed. Previous subscription mounts (for example, the Celestial Steed, the Winged Guardian) eventually became available for separate purchase.
