Overview

Azure Void Flyer

Game iconAzure Void Flyer is an epic flying mount added in patch 11.2.0 "Ghosts of K'aresh". The mount is a winged creature warped by Void energy, with an armored carapace and an otherworldly glow. As the item description reads: "Twisted by the Void, these winged creatures now rule the skies of K'aresh."

The Azure Void Flyer is the reward for the The War Within Keystone Master: Season Three achievement. To obtain it you need to reach a Mythic+ rating of at least 2,000 during Season 3 of The War Within.

The season has ended, so getting the mount right now is not possible.

Why you want this mount

  • Prestigious reward — the Azure Void Flyer shows off your ability to consistently clear high Mythic+ keys. It is one of the most recognizable symbols of mastery in the current season
  • Limited availability — the mount can only be earned within Season 3 of The War Within. Once the season ends, the achievement becomes unavailable and the mount turns into a rare collector's item
  • Unique model — the Void flyer features an original model with animations inspired by the fauna of the planet K'aresh. Its azure color scheme makes it stand out among other mounts
  • Available to all characters — once earned, the mount appears in the collection of every character on your account
  • Bonus perk — completing the "Keystone Master" achievement also grants 1 Catalyst charge for upgrading your gear

How to get it — step-by-step guide

The main task is to reach a Mythic+ rating of 2,000 in Season 3 of The War Within. Your rating is built from your best results in each of the season's 8 dungeons.

Step 1. Prepare your character

Push your item level to 723 and above. Use every available gear source: raids, Mythic+ dungeons, the Great Vault and the Catalyst. Make sure your character is properly geared and has suitable talents for dungeons.

Step 2. Learn the Season 3 dungeons

The Season 3 rotation includes 8 dungeons:

Dungeon Source
Eco-Dome Al'dani New dungeon
Ara-Kara, City of Echoes The War Within
The Dawnbreaker The War Within
Operation: Floodgate The War Within
Priory of the Sacred Flame The War Within
Halls of Atonement Shadowlands
Tazavesh: Streets of Wonder Shadowlands
Tazavesh: So'leah's Gambit Shadowlands

Learn the routes, the locations of dangerous enemy packs and the boss tactics for each dungeon.

Step 3. Start with low keys

Begin with +2 keys and gradually increase the difficulty. This lets you master the dungeon mechanics without unnecessary pressure. Low key levels build up your base rating, and you can refine your optimal routes.

Step 4. Reach a rating of 2,000

To reach a rating of 2,000 you need to average about 250 points in each of the 8 dungeons. In practice that means completing every dungeon at level +6 or higher within the time limit.

The rating system works like this:

  • Each key level has a base number of points, starting at 40 for +2 (increasing by 5 per level)
  • Levels +4 and +7 grant double the points
  • Level +10 and above grants triple the points
  • Completing a dungeon within the time limit grants extra points. At +10 and above, finishing outside the timer awards no rating

Step 5. Claim the reward

Once you reach a rating of 2,000, the The War Within Keystone Master: Season Three achievement is completed automatically, and the Game iconAzure Void Flyer mount appears in your collection.

Tips and tricks

  • Spread your effort evenly — don't fixate on a single dungeon. Build rating across all eight, since the system counts your best result in each. One +10 key won't make up for a missing result in another dungeon
  • Use the Enduring Keystones system — once you've cleared every dungeon at +12 or higher within the time limit, your key will no longer drop below +12. This makes further pushing easier
  • Play at the start of the week — early in the week there are more experienced players in the group finder, which improves your chances of a successful run
  • Master several roles — if your class can fill multiple roles (tank, healer, DPS), use that. Tanks and healers find groups much faster
  • Watch the affixes — every week the dungeons get different modifiers (affixes). Some combinations are easier for certain classes and comps. Plan your progress around the current affixes
  • Install useful addons — Mythic Dungeon Tools for route planning, Details! for analyzing damage and mistakes, BigWigs/Deadly Boss Mods for boss ability alerts
  • Communicate with your group — use voice chat to coordinate cooldowns and interrupts. A coordinated team clears keys far more efficiently
  • Aim a bit higher — don't stop at +6 keys. By clearing dungeons at +7 and +8 you'll build a rating buffer to offset possible failures in individual dungeons
  • Consider a steady group — the group finder works, but a regular team provides stable progress and better mutual understanding
  • Don't leave it until the end of the season — in the final weeks competition for group spots rises and pug stress levels go up. Start early so you have a time buffer
