Blue Dragonhawk is an epic flying mount added in patch 3.1.0 of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. It is the reward for the Mountain o' Mounts achievement, which requires you to collect 100 different mounts on a single character. The mount is available only to Alliance characters — Horde players earn the Red Dragonhawk for the equivalent achievement.

Dragonhawks are among the deadliest predators of Azeroth. They can spot prey from a great distance, dive at incredible speed, and tear their victims apart with claws and beak. The Blue Dragonhawk stands out for its vivid turquoise-blue plumage and elegant silhouette in flight.

• A collector's symbol — the Blue Dragonhawk clearly shows that you have gone from a beginning rider to a seasoned mount collector. It is the first truly prestigious mount in the collection achievement series.
• Guaranteed reward — unlike mounts with a percentage drop chance, the Blue Dragonhawk goes to everyone who reaches the 100-mount milestone. There is no element of luck here.
• Unique model — dragonhawks are fairly rare among mounts. The blue variant is available exclusively through the achievement; it cannot be bought or dropped from a boss.
• Ground and flying — the mount works both on the ground and in the air. Its speed adapts to your riding skill.
• Available to all characters — once earned, the mount appears in the collection of every character on your account.

To get the Blue Dragonhawk you need to complete the Mountain o' Mounts achievement — collect 100 different mounts available to a single character.

1. Open the mount journal (Shift+P) and check how many mounts you currently have.
2. Determine which mounts you are missing to reach 100.
3. Make a plan: start with the simplest and most accessible sources — racial mounts, gold vendors, reputation rewards.
4. Gradually work through harder sources: raid drops, dungeon achievements, world events.
5. As soon as the counter hits 100, the achievement completes automatically and the Blue Dragonhawk appears in your collection.

Racial Mounts (up to 30)

Each Alliance race has its own mount vendor. At Exalted reputation with the matching faction you gain access to all of that race's mounts:

• Humans — horses from Katie Hunter in Elwynn Forest
• Dwarves — rams from Veron Amberstill in Dun Morogh
• Night Elves — sabers from Lelanai in Darnassus
• Gnomes — mechanostriders from Milli Featherwhistle in Dun Morogh
• Draenei — elekks from Torallius the Pack Handler in the Exodar
• Worgen — mountain horses from Astrid Langstrump in Darnassus

Tip: equip the relevant faction's tabard and run dungeons — reputation builds up quickly.

Mounts for Gold (10–15)

Some mounts are sold by vendors with no reputation requirement or at a modest price:

• Riding mount vendors in the capitals sell basic mounts of your race for a few gold
• Mei Francis in Dalaran sells several mounts, including the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth
• Vendors in Dalaran (Northrend) and the Pandaria capitals offer various mounts

Reputation Mounts (15–20)

Many factions sell mounts once you reach a certain reputation level:

• The Sons of Hodir — ice mammoths
• Knights of the Ebon Blade — bone gryphons
• The Oracles — an egg with a chance at a green proto-drake
• The Black Prince's Expedition (Pandaria) — goats
• The Netherwing (Burning Crusade) — netherdrakes
• Order of the Cloud Serpent — cloud serpents

Dungeon and Raid Mounts (10–20)

Old raids and dungeons clear in minutes at max level:

How Long It Takes

With a focused approach you can collect 100 mounts in 2–4 weeks of active play. Racial and gold mounts give a quick boost. Reputation mounts require a few days of grinding per faction. Raid drops depend on luck, but you shouldn't rely on them alone — there are more than enough guaranteed sources.
