Blue Old God Fish

Blue Old God Fish is an uncommon mount added to World of Warcraft in patch 10.2.7 of the Dragonflight expansion. The model is a glowing deep-sea fish with a grotesquely oversized head, a phosphorescent lure above its maw and an elongated body in a bluish-indigo hue, directly evoking the aesthetic of the Old Gods and the domains of N'Zoth. Despite its "fishy" appearance, the mount works as a universal ground and flying mount rather than an aquatic one.

The main source is the Trading Post in the capitals of the Alliance and the Horde. The mount enters the monthly rotation at Blizzard's discretion and is purchased with the Trader's Tender currency. The standard price for mounts of this family is 800 Tender.

• Unique model — a deep-sea fish with a glowing lure in the style of the Old Gods, one of the most unusual mount models in the game. It fits transport in the spirit of Nazjatar and the ancient domains of the elder deities
• Universal — ground and flying at once — it switches form depending on your riding skill and location. This is a full-fledged flying mount, not just an aquatic one
• Account-wide access — once purchased it unlocks on every character of a single Battle.net account regardless of faction and class
• No dungeon or raid farming required — only Trader's Tender is needed to obtain it, and that accumulates through ordinary gameplay activity
• Part of a collectible mount family — four mounts share a common model in different colors: Blue Old God Fish (blue), Shoreline Anglerfish (green), Infested Leviathan Anglerfish (purple) and Ka, Legend of the Deep (red)

The only confirmed source of the Blue Old God Fish is the Trading Post. To add the mount to your collection, follow these steps.

1. Wait for a month in which the mount appears in the lineup. Blizzard does not announce the Trading Post lineup in advance. Check the current month's list in the game itself or on major gaming portals
2. Log in during the first days of the month and claim the monthly chest "Collector's Cache" — it automatically becomes available to your character and grants 500 Trader's Tender
3. Open the Trading Post window at the NPC in Orgrimmar, Stormwind or Dornogal and check the current lineup
4. If the mount is for sale, mark it with the "Freeze" button so you don't accidentally spend your Tender on other items and keep the lot until you save up the required amount
5. Complete "Traveler's Log" tasks (default hotkey ⇧Shift+J) to earn an additional 500 Tender during the month
6. Once you have saved up 800 Tender, buy the mount from the Trading Post NPC and use the item to learn it into your collection

The Trading Post is a system of monthly cosmetic rewards added in patch 10.0.5. Each month Blizzard puts up a fixed set of mounts, pets, transmog appearances, toys and back items. All goods are purchased exclusively with Trader's Tender, and in-game gold is not used at the Trading Post.

The cap of 1,000 Tender per month applies to the whole account and does not depend on the number of active characters. Therefore buying the mount for 800 Tender leaves you only 200 Tender for the rest of the goods — it is worth planning your purchases in advance.

The Traveler's Log is a monthly list of tasks with a cumulative progress bar. A full bar grants 500 Tender and one additional reward (often an exclusive toy, pet or mount). The tasks change every month and cover different sides of the game:

• participating in raids, Mythic+ dungeons and delves
• discovering camps in the open world, completing world quests
• gathering resources with professions, fishing, cooking
• taking part in seasonal events (Lunar Festival, Midsummer Fire Festival, etc.)
• emotes and mini-activities (for example, greeting a specific NPC)

Any character can complete the tasks — progress synchronizes across the whole account. To reliably earn 500 Tender per month, devote several play sessions to the log without leaving it until the last day of the month.

The Blue Old God Fish is just one of four variations of the shared deep-sea fish model introduced in patch 10.2.7. If you collect mounts, it makes sense to methodically gather the whole family.

The red variation does not drop from the Trading Post but from the Saturday fishing event in The Hidden Hollow (quest Fishing Frenzy in The Hidden Hollow). To get the mount you need to catch all 20 species of Khaz Algar fish across the whole of Khaz Algar within one hour of real time — a task that requires a prepared route and good Fishing skill.

All Tender by Month's End

Tender does not expire, but the Traveler's Log progress bar resets on the first day of each month. So focus on filling the full bar every time, without waiting for the mount you want.

1. On the first day of the month, check the Log and look for the 5–7 fastest tasks
2. Knock out the easy activities over one or two evenings: emotes, world quests, cooking, fishing
3. Hook in a raid or dungeon entry through weekly progress — it closes several objectives at once
4. By mid-month you will have a full bar and 500 additional Tender

Freezing a Lot

Each month you can freeze one item for free. The frozen item carries over to the next lineup and stays available for purchase. This is especially useful if the mount appeared in the right month but you did not manage to save up 800 Tender.
