Get Blue Skeletal Horse mount

The Blue Skeletal Horse is a ground mount for the Undead race, one of the four basic skeletal steeds of the Forsaken. Visually it is a classic skeletal horse from Tirisfal Glades with a distinctive blue glow in its eye sockets and bone tack. The mount is sold for ordinary gold by Zachariah Post, the Forsaken racial vendor, and is available at max level in the current Midnight version of the game.

For an Undead character the mount is a basic racial steed and costs just one gold coin. Players of other Horde races must earn Exalted reputation with the Undercity faction — only then will the vendor agree to sell them the bone horse. This guide is equally useful for newcomers buying a racial mount for the first time and for collectors gathering the full set of Forsaken steeds.

• Forsaken racial collection — the Blue Skeletal Horse is part of the quartet of basic skeletal steeds alongside the Black Skeletal Horse, the Red Skeletal Horse and the Brown Skeletal Horse. By collecting all four you complete the basic lineup and can move on to the Forsaken war horses
• Extremely low price — for the Undead the mount costs 1 gold coin, making it the cheapest way to get your own transport right after learning Apprentice Riding
• Mount collector status — any purchased mount is added permanently to your shared collection. Once you buy the Blue Skeletal Horse on any Horde character, you unlock it for all future characters, including the Alliance
• Access through reputation — for non-Undead this is a reason to grind Undercity reputation to Exalted, which along the way unlocks the purchase of all Forsaken bone horses, as well as the faction's themed transmog and cloth set
• Easy motivation for alts — the mount is especially handy as a goal for a fresh Undead character: by level 20 you will already have your own unique steed without having to farm reputations and dungeons

Before heading to the vendor, make sure all conditions are met. For an Undead character the list is minimal; for the other Horde races you will have to put some work into reputation.

• Faction — the mount is sold only to Horde characters. Alliance players cannot buy it, even if they gain access to Tirisfal Glades
• Level — minimum 10. In practice this is a formality: by level 10 a character already learns riding in the current edition of the game
• Riding skill — you need Apprentice Riding. Riding trainers are found in major Horde cities, including at the entrance to Brill
• Reputation for non-Undead — if your character belongs to any other Horde race (orc, tauren, troll, blood elf, goblin, pandaren, an allied race representative), you need Exalted reputation with the Undercity faction. Without this reputation Zachariah will not show his wares
• Gold — just 1 gold coin. For mounts in this price range the figure is symbolic

After the Forsaken restored Tirisfal Glades in Shadowlands, Zachariah Post returned to his historic spot in the village of Brill and still trades bone steeds there today. Brill is located southeast of Lordaeron, right on the border of the Undead starting zone.

1. Level your character to 10 and get the basic riding skill from any Horde trainer
2. Make sure you have at least 1 gold coin in your inventory
3. For non-Undead, first raise your reputation with the Undercity to Exalted. The fastest path is quests in Tirisfal Glades, Silverpine Forest and Duskwood
4. Travel to Tirisfal Glades by any convenient means (portal, hearthstone, flight from the nearest flight point)
5. Fly or ride to Brill — the coordinates of the flight point and the village itself coincide
6. Find Zachariah Post by the pen with bone horses in the northern part of the village
7. Open the trade menu and select the Blue Skeletal Horse
8. Use the item you receive from your bags — the mount is added to your collection and becomes available on all your characters, subject to the requirements

If you are not playing Undead, the main work is not buying the mount but grinding reputation. Below are the most effective methods.

• Quest leveling at the start — fully complete the Tirisfal Glades starting chain, then move on to Silverpine Forest and Duskwood. These zones grant Undercity reputation for most quests
• Arathi Highlands and Duskwood — additional quests in these zones also bring Forsaken reputation
• Battlegrounds — Alterac Valley, Arathi Basin, Warsong Gulch. Commanders of the opposing faction drop tokens of honor that can be turned in to the Undercity quartermaster for reputation
