Engineering The War Within

Why Is Engineering Needed?

Engineering is not the most popular profession among players due to the complexity of leveling it up, the branching into specializations, and the lack of orders via the order table. Nevertheless, this profession has always been and remains one of the most sought‑after, as engineers can craft numerous useful items (for example, the inv_10_engineering_manufacturedparts_electricalparts_color3Decently Working Cable Defibrillator) to later sell them to other players via the auction house. Additionally, the scrap recycling system allows engineers to turn useless items into valuable reagents for other professions.

Where to Learn Engineering?

You can learn the profession from Thermovisor Ardas in Dornogal.

Leveling Engineering from 1 to 40

We’ve tried to provide you with the fastest and most cost‑effective way to level up the profession, but you might need slightly more resources, as leveling has a small degree of randomness. Some yellow and orange recipes might not yield the desired result, so carefully monitor how many resources you have left after learning each recipe.

To level up, you’ll need to gather the following ingredients:

We recommend selecting the lowest quality of all reagents — professions-chaticon-quality-tier1 (1).png, as the quality of the reagent does not affect the speed of profession leveling, allowing you to save on materials.

Once you’ve gathered or purchased the required resources, you can begin crafting.

Leveling Engineering from 40 to 100

Further profession leveling does not follow any specific path that would allow you to quickly gain the required level.

The reason is that you will no longer receive recipes that can be used for leveling. Instead, you will have two options:

  1. Craft special toys — this is a very expensive but effective way to level the profession up to 100.
  2. Obtain recipes once per day using the ui_profession_engineeringInvention ability.

If you choose to craft toys, we recommend making the inv_misc_-selfiecamera_02Camera Without Film. This is the most cost‑effective way to reach level 100 compared to other craftable items.
