Fateweaved Needle — Transmog Set Guide

Fateweaved Needle is an epic-quality one-handed dagger added to World of Warcraft in The War Within with patch 11.0.2. It is a long, slender blade resembling a giant sewing needle: an elongated silvery-steel edge tapers into a hilt wound with dark threads. The look is set in a cold gray-steel palette without bright glows and references the fate-weaving themes from the nerubian storyline of Azj-Kahet.

The item carries its own passive effect, Fateweaved Needle: the wielder's offensive and beneficial spells occasionally create a thread of fate between them and the target for 5 seconds. An ally under the thread gains a boost to their primary stat, while an enemy takes Cosmic damage when the thread snaps. The effect is irrelevant for transmog, but it is useful to know about — it is precisely this mechanic that makes the dagger obtainable in an unusual way, through a separate ritual.

The Fateweaved Needle does not drop from a specific boss and is not purchased from a vendor. To obtain it, you need to complete a short chain: acquire the Fate Weaver item in The War Within delves and activate it at a special ritual location in the Azj-Kahet zone.

The Fate Weaver is a rare-quality off-hand item with item level 350 and a single activation charge. It drops from sources tied to Promising delves and related seasonal activities:

• In the first season of The War Within, a chance at the Fate Weaver came from the Hulking Raptorial Claw — an item left behind by Zekvir during a random incursion into a delve. For the claw to appear at all, Zekvir had to be brought down to 50% health and forced to retreat, rather than letting him wipe the group.
• In the second season, a similar chance came from the seasonal chest Nemesis Strongbox — it first has to be fully upgraded with the seasonal delve mechanic, and only then opened.
• In the third season, the Fate Weaver drops from seasonal stashes and delve chests, from weekly Great Vault rewards, and from other delve loot chests.
• Additionally, the Fate Weaver can be obtained from hidden chests and rewards tied to the Restored Coffer Key — this key opens the rich chest at the end of a Promising delve and is a primary source of rare loot.

Once the Fate Weaver is in your bags, all that remains is to perform the ritual:

• The ritual location is the Fate Weaver Ritual Site on the upper tier in the north of the Azj-Kahet zone.

• At the site there is a spool of threads: you need to equip the Fate Weaver in your off-hand and interact with the spool.
• Depending on the loot specialization of the spellcasting character, the ritual creates either the Fateweaved Needle or the one-handed mace Fateweaved Mallet. The dagger appearance unlocks only from the needle, so it makes sense to perform the ritual on a specialization that receives a dagger under the loot rules.
• There is no hard limit on attempts, but each ritual consumes one Fate Weaver — if you want to collect both the dagger and the mace, you will need at least two items and two attempts on different specializations.

The key path to steady farming is daily Promising delves at the highest available difficulty and regular spending of Restored Coffer Keys. The higher the delve level, the more generous the stashes and the more often the seasonal Fate Weaver sources appear.

The Fateweaved Needle has no confirmed color recolors with separate item IDs — it is a unique model from the fate-weaver ritual. The direct "paired" alternative is the one-handed mace from the same ritual.
