Jade Resonating Crystal

Jade Resonating Crystal is a summoning item that teaches the Jeweled Jade Scarab mount. It is a green mechanical scarab with blade-thin wings and a carapace carved from solid jade. The mount serves as both a ground and a flying mount and belongs to the "jeweled scarab" series, launched in Dragonflight and continued in the Midnight expansion (patch 10.2.0).

Unlike its "siblings" in the series — the Copper Resonating Crystal and the Sapphire Resonating Crystal, which are sold at the Trading Post for Trader's Tender — the jade variant is flagged as Promotion (a promotional reward). At the time of the announcement, Blizzard had not yet revealed which specific event would grant the mount: it could be a marketing campaign, a Battle.net bonus, a Midnight launch event, or a separate collector's bundle.

• Versatility — the scarab works as both a ground and a flying mount, with +60%/+100% speed on the ground and +150%/+280%/+310% in the air depending on your riding skill.
• Unique model — the jade coloring stands out among the rest of the scarabs in the series and looks great against any biome: the deserts of Uldah, the forests of the Emerald Dream, and the city streets of Dornogal.
• Collector value — promotional mounts traditionally become rare a year or two after their announcement, so an example collected on time will retain its prestige.
• Account-wide — once the item is used, the mount unlocks on all your characters, with no faction or class restrictions.
• Completing the scarab series — together with the Copper, Gold, and Sapphire crystals, it forms a complete collector's set of four "mecha-beetles."

The main acquisition method is flagged by Blizzard as Promotion — the exact details will be published closer to the release of patch 12.0.1. Based on similar promotional mounts from past years, expect one of the following scenarios:

1. Battle.net promotion — the mount may come bundled with a purchase of game time, an annual subscription, an upgrade to the Midnight collector's edition, or participation in World of Warcraft Mobile / other Blizzard projects.
2. In-game event — a series of challenges or a launch celebration for the expansion, where completing the tasks rewards you with the Jade Resonating Crystal.
3. Referral program — the mount may become a reward for inviting a friend ("Recruit a Friend"), as has happened with previous Blizzard promotional mounts.
4. Trading Post (reserve) — Blizzard reserves the option to return the mount to the Trading Post several months after the promo period, as it did with the Jeweled Sapphire Scarab.

The jade crystal is the fourth in the lineup of jeweled scarabs. All mounts in the series use the same base mechanical beetle model with different colorings and carapace materials.

While the official details of the promotion have not yet been published, complete the following steps in advance — it will save you time on launch day.

1. Make sure you have an active character of level 10+ — that is enough to use the item and unlock the mount account-wide.
2. Unlock the Expert Riding skill (cost: 250 gold from any riding trainer) — otherwise the mount will only be able to run, not fly.
3. Link your Battle.net account to your email and enable two-factor authentication: many promotional rewards are distributed specifically through Battle.net.
4. Subscribe to the World of Warcraft newsletter and keep an eye on news from the official site.
5. Visit the Trading Post every month — Blizzard may announce the promo task through this interface.

If the promotional reward arrives as a code, you need to activate it through your Battle.net account.

1. Log in to your account on the battle.net website.
2. Go to the "Code Redemption" section.
3. Enter the 25-character promo code and confirm the activation.
4. Launch the game — the Jade Resonating Crystal will appear as a mail attachment in any mailbox.
5. Take the item and use it — the mount will be added to your collection [Shift+P] right away.
