Holy Priest is a pure-throughput healer that lives on mana, Chakra stances, and Holy Word spells.
You swap between 
Chakra: Serenity to heal the tank and 
Chakra: Sanctuary to heal the raid, and on top of that you layer 
Renew, 
Circle of Healing, and 
Prayer of Healing, each of which leaves behind an echo from mastery 
Mastery: Echo of Light. In a raid it is a pure healer: less utility than Discipline, but the best AoE healing in the game.
Strengths
- Best AoE healing output in the game.
- Very strong emergency healing through
Divine Hymn and 
Holy Word: Serenity. - Heals a single target almost as well as a group.
- The Chakra system lets one spec cover both the tank and the raid.
Guardian Spirit is one of the strongest single-target save cooldowns.- Lots of passive healing from Mastery: Echo of Light and Renew.
Weaknesses
- Very mana-hungry and needs a lot of Spirit.
- Feels weak in the 10-player format — half the kit misses.
- Almost no raid damage reduction compared to Discipline.
- Chakra swapping is slow and punishes reactive role changes.
Lightwell only works if allies actually click it.

A healer needs no Hit or Expertise. Spirit ranks very high here: Holy burns mana faster than any other healer. Critical strike doubles the healing of any spell that crits, mastery adds an echo through Mastery: Echo of Light, and Haste is no longer a priority for Holy in Pandaria — other stats give more output and better mana efficiency.
