Demonology Warlock is a specialization built around the 
Demonic Fury resource: in the standard form you build it up with 
Shadow Bolt, 
Corruption and 
Hand of Gul'dan, then spend it by shifting into 
Metamorphosis.
In demon form a different spellbook opens up — 
Touch of Chaos, 
Doom, 
Void Ray and 
Immolation Aura — and all of its damage is noticeably higher and scales with mastery. In a raid this is a fighter with interweaving forms, excellent AoE damage and a strong execute phase.
Strengths
- Exceptional AoE damage and cleave through Hand of Gul'dan, Immolation Aura and Void Ray.
- A very strong execute phase thanks to
Soul Fire and 
Molten Core procs. - Good personal survivability and mobility.
- An engaging playstyle with a high skill ceiling.

Demonic Gateway.
Weaknesses
- Weak burst on a single target: it is tied to accumulated Demonic Fury.
- One of the most complex rotations in the game.
- Mistakes with Demonic Fury and form transitions are very costly.
- You have to watch over your pet if you don't take
Grimoire of Sacrifice. - Doom's stat snapshot punishes poor cooldown alignment.
Stat Priority

Hit is mandatory and useless beyond the cap. Haste breakpoints for Doom: +1 tick at 7.14% (3036 rating), +2 ticks at 30.94% (13153 rating) — accounting for the 5% raid magic-haste buff. Mastery increases your damage in Metamorphosis. A caster does not need mastery. Gnomes and humans gain 1% hit from a racial ability.
