MoP Classic Arms Warrior — Guide (Phase 5)
About the Class
Arms Warrior is a melee fighter with a two-handed weapon that runs on rage.
All damage is built around the armor-ignoring
Colossus Smash window: into it you feed
Mortal Strike,
Slam and
Overpower, and that is where all the burst comes from. The spec brings strong cleave, a powerful execute phase and raid utility through
Skull Banner,
Rallying Cry and
Vigilance. It is a durable and very mobile melee slot in any composition.
Strengths
- Exceptional cleave and area damage.
- Strong execute phase that noticeably speeds up fights.
- Very durable and survives almost any mechanic.
- Excellent mobility and uptime.
- Brings
Skull Banner and
Rallying Cry to the raid. - Powerful burst windows aligned with
Colossus Smash.
Weaknesses
- Resource issues: rage is often in short supply.
- Heavily gear-dependent.
- Damage is locked tight to the
Colossus Smash window, so downtime hurts a lot. - Losing contact with the target is punished harshly.
