Leatherworking The War Within
Why Is Leatherworking Needed?
Leatherworking is one of the most sought‑after professions both among players who earn gold via the order table and those who want to sell resources through the auction house. The profession allows you to:
- create relevant crafted items in the Leather and Mail categories;
- process various types of leather and bones, converting them into reagents for other professions and higher‑tier resources.
Later, you can either sell these resources on the auction house or use them to craft even higher‑tier items.
The profession remains profitable throughout the entire season because:
- the crafted items and accessories are constantly in demand due to their affordability and effectiveness;
- the consumable items produced are needed both in other professions and for crafting home decorations — which lets you earn gold if you sell either decorations or reagents.
Where to Learn Leatherworking?
Leveling Leatherworking from 1 to 70
We’ve tried to provide you with the fastest and most cost‑effective way to level up the profession, but you might need slightly more resources due to the inherent randomness in leveling. Some yellow and orange recipes might not yield the desired result, so carefully track how many resources you have left after learning each recipe.
To level up, you’ll need to gather the following ingredients:
Storm‑Charged Leather — 775 ×

Gloom Chitin — 295 ×

Thunderous Hide — 20 ×

Sunless Carapace — 4 ×

Storm in a Bottle — 2 ×

We recommend selecting the lowest quality of all reagents —
, as the quality of the reagent doesn’t affect the speed of profession leveling, allowing you to save on materials.
Once you’ve gathered or purchased the required resources, you can begin crafting.

Leveling up the Leather Industry from level 70 to level 100
The cheapest and fastest way to upgrade a profession to level 100 is to make equipment through the order table.
For creating these items, you will receive 3 times more skill points until you reach the skill level of 100/100.
You can make absolutely any yellow recipes. Each of them will give you 3 profession levels.
As a rule, when submitting an order, the player provides his reagents, which makes pumping completely free. However, if the player does not provide his reagents, then try to choose those items of equipment that do not require rare and expensive reagents to create.
