Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.

Reins of the Amalgam of Rage is an epic flying mount added in patch 10.0.2 (Dragonflight). It is a crossover mount created as part of a joint promotion between World of Warcraft and Diablo IV. In appearance, the mount is a fiery, demonic winged creature inspired by the world of Sanctuary.
According to the item's description: "The terrifying beast once ridden by Astaroth himself now bends to your will."
When you use the /mountspecial command, the mount unfurls its enormous flaming wings, making it one of the most spectacular mounts in any collection.
The Amalgam of Rage is a promotional mount that was granted automatically to players who met the conditions of one of Blizzard's promotions. The mount cannot be obtained through in-game content: it does not drop from bosses, it is not sold by vendors, and it is not available for in-game currency.
The mount is tied to a purchase of Diablo IV on the same Battle.net account you use to play World of Warcraft. Over time, the promotion ran several times in different formats:
Since the mount is only available during promotions, your first step is to check the current offers:
If a promotion is active, purchase the required product (Diablo IV or the relevant expansion) through Battle.net. Important: the purchase must be made on the same Battle.net account you use to play World of Warcraft.
Open the Mount Journal (default key Shift+P), find the Amalgam of Rage using search, and drag it onto your action bar.
As of April 2026, none of the promotions that granted the mount are active. The last promotion ended on January 7, 2025.
However, Blizzard has repeatedly brought this mount back in various promotions, so there is a chance it will reappear in the future. We recommend:
Don't buy keys from third-party sellers. Some players try to obtain the mount by buying Diablo IV keys from unofficial sellers. Such keys may fail to activate the promotional rewards or may lead to an account suspension.
Check your account links. Make sure your World of Warcraft and Diablo IV games are linked to the same Battle.net account. If they are on separate accounts, the mount will not be granted.
The mount is awarded automatically. You don't need to perform any additional in-game actions — after the purchase, simply wait for it to be credited. The mount usually appears within 24 hours of meeting the promotion's conditions.
If the mount didn't appear. Try logging back into the game and check the mailbox on all of your characters. If the problem persists, contact Blizzard support.
The /mountspecial command. Be sure to try using /mountspecial while riding the Amalgam of Rage — the mount will reveal its impressive fiery wings.
