Get Arboreal Gulper mount
Overview

Arboreal Gulper is an epic ground mount added in patch 9.0.1 of the Shadowlands expansion. It is a large toad covered in tree bark and moss, which are a natural part of its body and help it absorb anima straight from the air. The mount drops with a guaranteed chance from the rare creature Humongous Fungus in Ardenweald.
To summon Humongozz, you will need to find an
Unusually Large Mushroom and plant it in clay-rich soil. The process is simple, but it requires attention to timing, as the mushroom disappears 20 minutes after you obtain it.
Why You Want This Mount
- Guaranteed acquisition — the mount drops with a 100% chance when you kill the Humongous Fungus. No weeks-long farming or luck with percentage drops
- Quick process — from the start of the mushroom hunt to obtaining the mount takes 10 to 40 minutes depending on your luck with the mushroom drop
- Unique model — it is one of the few toads among the game's mounts, with a distinctive hopping animation while moving
- Available to all characters — once learned, the mount appears in the collection of all characters on the account
- Counts toward an achievement — killing the Humongous Fungus counts toward the Adventurer of Ardenweald achievement
How to Obtain
Obtaining the mount consists of three stages: getting the mushroom, summoning the rare creature, and killing it.
Stage 1 — Unusually Large Mushroom
The Unusually Large Mushroom drops from any creature in Ardenweald. The drop chance is roughly 1 to 5 percent. After you obtain it, the item stays in your bag for only 20 minutes, after which it disappears.
Best spots to farm the mushroom:
- Tirna Vaal groves (coordinates roughly 44, 74) — Possessed Keepers and Possessed Watchers gather here in tight groups and are killed quickly
- South of Gloomgrove (coordinates roughly 37, 70) — Maddened Drustvar creatures
- Mistveil Tangle — a large cluster of various enemies
At level 80, all enemies in Ardenweald die in one or two hits, so farming goes very quickly.
Stage 2 — Damp Loam and Summoning Humongozz
Once you have the mushroom, head immediately to the Damp Loam. It is located in the northwest of Ardenweald, in the Dreamsong area.
Coordinates:
Walk up to the Damp Loam and click on it. The mushroom from your bag will automatically be planted in the soil. After a few seconds, the Humongous Fungus will appear and, over 15–20 seconds, transform into a rare creature.
Important: If the Damp Loam is not visible on the ground, it means another player used it recently. The recovery time is about 10 minutes. Wait for the object to reappear.
Stage 3 — Killing Humongozz
The Humongous Fungus is a rare elite creature of level 62 with a health pool of around 580,000. At level 90 in current-season gear, it poses no serious threat and is killed within seconds.
Humongozz's abilities:
- Entangling Roots — immobilizes the target for several seconds. Can be avoided by stepping out of the affected area
- Whirlwind Attack — deals damage in the area around it. Run out to a safe distance
Before summoning, it is recommended to clear the surrounding enemies so they do not interfere during the fight.
After killing Humongozz, claim the Arboreal Gulper from the loot. The mount drops with a 100% chance. If other players took part in the kill, each of them will also receive the mount.

Tips
Don't dawdle with the mushroom. After obtaining the Unusually Large Mushroom you have only 20 minutes. Memorize the route to the Damp Loam in advance so you don't waste time searching
Clear the area. Before planting the mushroom, kill all the regular enemies around the Damp Loam. They may interfere during the fight
Use a macro. To quickly track whether the mushroom is in your bag, create a macro with the command /use Unusually Large Mushroom — it will highlight when the item appears
Group drop. The mount drops for every participant in the fight. If you see someone has already summoned the Humongous Fungus, join the fight — you will get the mount too
Clay soil recovery time. If the clay soil is not visible, wait about 10 minutes. During that time the object will recover after being used by another player
Farming at level 90. At max level all of Ardenweald's enemies die instantly, and the Humongous Fungus itself poses no threat at all. No group is required

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
