Ascendant Skyrazor

Game iconAscendant Skyrazor is a prestigious flying mount from the expansion The War Within. It is a winged nerubian behemoth created by Queen Ansurek through experiments with the Black Blood. The mount stands out with its imposing size, sharp wings and glowing crimson horns. It can only be obtained from the final boss of the Nerub-ar Palace raid on Mythic difficulty.

Why You Want This Mount

  • Exclusive Mythic reward — the mount is available only on Mythic difficulty, making it a symbol of your raid group's progress
  • A unique winged nerubian creature model with an impressive design
  • Account-bound — all of your characters from level 10 can use it
  • The associated achievement adds to your mount collection

Mount Source

Game iconReins of the Ascendant Skyrazor drops from Queen Ansurek — the final boss of the Nerub-ar Palace raid on Mythic difficulty.

Difference from the Sureki Skyrazor

Do not confuse this mount with the Game iconSureki Skyrazor. The Sureki Skyrazor drops from Queen Ansurek on all difficulties, while the Ascendant Skyrazor drops only on Mythic.

Requirements

  • A level 90 character
  • A raid group of 20 players (Mythic difficulty is locked at 20 players)
  • Sufficient item level to clear Mythic Nerub-ar Palace
  • Knowledge of the tactics for all 8 raid bosses
  • Clearing all previous raid bosses — Queen Ansurek is the final, eighth boss

How to Enter Nerub-ar Palace

  1. Head to Azj-Kahet — the underground zone of The War Within
  2. Find the City of Threads — the main hub of the zone
  3. The raid entrance is located in the south-western part of the City of Threads
  4. Entrance coordinates: /way #2255 35.3 72.0 Nerub-ar Palace Entrance
  5. You can also use the portal to the City of Threads from the capital city of Dornogal

Tips and Tricks

  • Join a Mythic raiding guild. Mythic difficulty requires a coordinated 20-player group — random groups via the group finder practically never work here.
  • Track your guild's progress. Queen Ansurek is the final boss, and many raid groups only reach her after several weeks of progression.
  • Do not confuse it with the regular version. Game iconReins of the Sureki Skyrazor drops on all difficulties and has a different appearance. The Ascendant Skyrazor is a Mythic exclusive.
  • Loot distribution. Discuss the mount distribution system with your raid leader in advance. Two mounts for 20 players — usually handled by rolls or a DKP system.
  • Class does not matter for the drop. The mount can drop to any raid member regardless of class or role.
