Ashes of Al'ar

Al'ar was the beloved pet of Kael'thas Sunstrider, who always bragged that death would never catch up with him. Well, it seems he was right.

The phoenix mount drops from the boss Kael'thas Sunstrider. This is the final boss of the Tempest Keep raid.

The raid itself is located in the Outland → Netherstorm zone.

To get to Outland, you need to go to your faction’s portal room and talk to the NPC who will send you to the BBlasted Lands. Not far from the spawn point, you will see a large green portal leading to Outland. Enter it to teleport to the zone. Then, use flying transport to reach the raid entrance in the Netherstorm zone.

• The mount has an approximate 1.7 % drop rate.

There is also a small chance to obtain the Ashes of Al'ar after completing a weekly quest during the Timewalking: Burning Crusade event, from the chest awarded as a reward.
