Autumnal Wilderling Harness is an epic flying mount added to World of Warcraft in the Chains of Domination update. It is one of the four Ardenweald wilderlings — magical deer-like creatures that serve as loyal companions to members of the Night Fae covenant. The autumnal version stands out with warm red-and-gold foliage on its antlers and a vivid orange plumage along its mane, evoking the mood of fading leaves and the harvest.
The mount is sold by the Renown quartermaster Elwyn in the Heart of the Forest — the Night Fae covenant sanctum in Ardenweald. To purchase it you must reach Renown level 70 with the Night Fae and hand over 7,500 Reservoir Anima.
The only way to add the mount to your collection is to walk the Night Fae covenant path and save up enough anima to buy it from Elwyn.
To gain access to the purchase it is not enough to simply reach Ardenweald — you must meet a series of covenant requirements.
If you have already reached Renown 80 with any covenant on your account, you can buy a
Broker Mark of Distinction for 500 gold from Au'dara on the upper level of Oribos. The mark instantly raises your active covenant to Renown 60, after which you only need to gain 10 more levels to purchase the autumnal wilderling.
The Heart of the Forest lies at the center of Ardenweald and serves as the Night Fae sanctum. You can reach it in several ways.
After arriving, descend to the lower platform to reach the vendors. Elwyn stands next to the covenant quartermaster near the base of the giant tree.
The journey from zero to Renown 70 takes several weeks, but the process can be sped up considerably if you use every source correctly.
Each of the nine chapters of the patch 9.1 story campaign raises Renown by 2 levels. Complete all available chapters on your Night Fae character to gain up to 18 levels with no additional farming.
To collect 7,500 anima, the most convenient option is to farm rares in Zereth Mortis. Small rares give 100–200 anima, large ones around 250 per kill. In the Dunes near Iska and the neighboring rares, communities usually form groups through Group Finder, letting you earn 5,000–7,000 anima per hour.
Save up anima in advance — by Renown 68–69, already have 7,500 anima banked so you can buy the mount the moment you level up.
Finish the Night Fae storyline — beyond Renown, the campaign unlocks teleports and locations that make world farming in Ardenweald easier.
Use the Broker Mark of Distinction on alts — it is the fastest way to collect all four wilderlings if you have several characters.
Check your Warband status — once you reach Renown 80 the mount becomes account-wide, so it's worth choosing a main character for the purchase who will push Renown to the maximum.
Don't confuse it with the Spring Wilderling — the
Spring Wilderling Harness exists only in the data and is still not implemented in the game, so it is not yet possible to assemble the full seasonal collection.
Combine it with the other Night Fae mounts — the same vendor Elwyn also sells the
Ardenweald Wilderling Harness at Renown 45 and the
Wandering Wilderling Harness as an achievement reward. Plan your anima budget so you can close them all out at once.
