Get Azureshell Krolusk mount

Azureshell Krolusk is an Alliance ground mount added to World of Warcraft in the Battle for Azeroth expansion with the release of patch 8.1 "Tides of Vengeance." This is a massive blue-shelled desert arthropod of the krolusk genus, captured in the sands of Vol'dun. Despite its menacing appearance and powerful pincers, in captivity the creature behaves surprisingly calm and obedient.

The mount is purchased from Provisioner Stoutarm in Boralus for 200 7th Legion Service Medals. Medals are earned on the Arathi and Darkshore Warfronts, as well as from faction assaults in Kul Tiras and Zandalar. Purchasing the mount on an Alliance character automatically unlocks the paired Horde mount — Crimsonshell Krolusk — for all of your Horde characters on the account.

• Unique model — the blue-shelled krolusk has no equivalent among Alliance ground mounts. It stands out against the usual small horses, wolves, and tigers.
• Paired Horde mount as a bonus — when purchased on an Alliance character you automatically receive Crimsonshell Krolusk for Horde characters. Effectively two mounts for the price of one.
• Maximum speed — a movement speed bonus of +60% or +100% depending on your riding skill. This is a regular ground mount with full speed.
• Available account-wide — after purchase the mount appears in the collection of all Alliance characters regardless of class and race.
• Relatively affordable — 200 medals is a small price by the standards of Warfront currency. Other mounts from the same vendor cost 750 medals.
• Nostalgic content — a reason to return to the forgotten Warfront mechanic of Battle for Azeroth and complete your 8.1 mount collection.

1. Fly to Boralus — the Alliance capital in Kul Tiras. If the portals from Stormwind to Boralus are not yet open, complete the introductory Battle for Azeroth quests from Stormwind
2. Head to the Boralus harbor docks to the ship "Wind's Redemption." The mooring point of the Alliance flagship is where the Warfront board and related vendors are located
3. Find Provisioner Stoutarm on the pier at coordinates 66.7, 26.8. This is a female dwarf with a vendor icon above her head

4. Make sure you have at least 200 7th Legion Service Medals. The currency counter is shown in the "Currency" tab of the character window
5. Open the trade window with Stoutarm, find Azureshell Krolusk in the mounts tab and purchase it
6. Learn the mount — it will appear in your collection. Horde characters on your account will automatically receive Crimsonshell Krolusk

The currency was introduced in patch 8.1 and is earned as part of the Battle for Azeroth war campaign. It is tied to the Warfronts and combat events in Kul Tiras, Zandalar, and the Warfront zones.

Warfronts: The Battle for Stromgarde and The Battle for Darkshore

A Warfront is a 20-player instance in an RTS style. Two Warfronts alternate weekly: while one faction controls the zone, the other gathers resources; then an assault takes place and the zones switch.

How to run a single Warfront clear:

1. Open the "Group Finder" window (default key I) → "Warfronts" tab
2. Choose the active Warfront and queue up. The assault must be open for the Alliance — you can check the schedule on the wowhead front page in the "Today in WoW" block
3. Complete the scenario with a group of 20 players — it usually takes 15–25 minutes
4. Claim the reward: gear and Service Medals

Faction Assaults in Kul Tiras and Zandalar

Faction assaults are a zone event that opens roughly once a day and lasts about 7 hours. During an assault, special world quests appear in one of the zones of Kul Tiras (for the Alliance) or Zandalar (for the Horde on the opposite side).

1. Check the map of Kul Tiras or Zandalar — the zone under attack is marked with a crossed-swords icon
2. Pick up the starter quest from a Honorbound or 7th Legion officer
3. Complete 4 assault world quests and the final scenario of the chain
4. Turning in the final quest grants 5 Service Medals, a faction paragon chest, and reputation

World Quests on the Warfronts

Daily, in the Warfront zone owned by the Alliance, 5 world quests refresh. These quests give reputation with the 7th Legion, and since patch 8.2 they refresh every day instead of every cycle. The Warfront world quests themselves do not grant medals directly, but they speed up contribution and the opening of the assault.

7th Legion Paragon Chests

For every 10,000 reputation points beyond Exalted with the 7th Legion you receive a paragon chest containing 20 7th Legion Service Medals and gear. If you already have Exalted, this is a steady passive source of currency.

Invasions of Nazjatar and Mechagon

Introductory events and individual quests in Nazjatar and Mechagon sometimes also reward medals as part of event chests, but this is not the main source.

Summary Farming Plan

With regular play, 200 medals are collected in 1–3 weeks.

Only those Alliance players who have completed the introductory story chain of the respective Warfront can take part in its assault.

• The Battle for Stromgarde — the introductory quest is in the Stormwind command center after the start of the Battle for Azeroth war campaign
• The Battle for Darkshore — the introductory quests start with Tyrande Whisperwind in Stormwind and lead into a prologue scenario in Darkshore

If, when trying to queue for a Warfront, you see a message about needing to complete the introductory quests — completion takes 30–60 minutes per chain. After that you will be able to queue on a permanent basis.

In patch 8.1 Blizzard added Alliance and Horde mount pairs that automatically grant the opposite faction's mount when one of them is purchased. The krolusk pair is one of these.

Key rules:

• Purchase on an Alliance character = both krolusks on the account
• Purchase on a Horde character from Provisioner Mukra for 200 Honorbound Service Medals = both krolusks as well
• The second mount is granted automatically with no additional cost and no repeat visit to the vendor
• If you already play both factions — it is enough to gather medals on only one side

Account-Wide Medal Transfer (relevant in TWW)

Since The War Within pre-patch, 7th Legion and Honorbound Service Medals have become shared across the entire account — they can be farmed on any character of the respective faction. If you play mainly Horde but want the Azureshell Krolusk, the logic is as follows:

1. Earn medals on your more active Horde character
2. Switch to an Alliance character and spend the medals at Stoutarm
3. Or — buy the pair on the Horde side from Mukra, and the Azureshell Krolusk will be granted automatically

Paragon Chests as Passive Farming

If you have Exalted with the 7th Legion and periodically complete world quests in Darkshore, Arathi, and assault zones — paragon chests accumulate automatically. Each gives 20 medals, 10 chests = 200 medals = a full mount.

When to Storm a Warfront

1. The start of a new week — check the Warfront status on wowhead or via the in-game map
2. If the Alliance is ready to assault (100% contribution) — queue immediately
3. The assault lasts a week, so it is hard to miss, but the queue is usually faster on the first day
4. A single character can complete a Warfront assault once per assault (that is, once every 2 weeks for a specific Warfront)
5. If you have several level-80 Alliance characters — all of them can complete the Warfront and collect their 30 or 65 medals

Priority for Mount Collectors

Besides the Azureshell Krolusk, Stoutarm also sells other mounts:

• Priestess' Moonsaber — 750 medals, a flying mount
• Sand-Covered Sabertooth — 350 medals, requires the Heroic Battle for Darkshore

If all three interest you — gather 1,300 medals in one go, which is more efficient than saving separately.
