Bag of Kafa Beans

Bag of Kafa Beans is an uncommon consumable mount item added to World of Warcraft in the Mists of Pandaria expansion (patch 5.5.0). The bag summons a mountain goat driven wild by kafa beans — an extremely, extremely fast steed that you can steer but can almost never stop. The item holds three charges, after which it vanishes from your inventory.

The bag drops with a 100% chance from the rare NPC Zhing — a large mountain goat that patrols a plateau on Kun-Lai Summit, northeast of Binan Village's Blossoming Winter area. It is not a Tillers reputation reward, nor a trophy from Elder Ezra Wheathoof, but loot from a rare mob with a long respawn timer.

The Bag of Kafa Beans is a collectible curiosity rather than a permanent mount. Even so, there are plenty of reasons to grab it:

• A rare entry for your collection — an item with a unique giant-goat model that doesn't appear in the standard mount lineup. A nice tick for achievement hunters and collectors
• Very high speed — the Kafa-Crazed Goat effect grants the maximum ground-mount speed and surges even faster in bursts. Across Pandaria's open expanses it looks spectacular
• 100% guaranteed drop — unlike most Pandaria mounts, there's no drop-chance lottery here. If you catch Zhing alive, the item is yours.
• Nostalgic content — a reason to return to Kun-Lai Summit, finish off old achievements and collect other rare Pandaria items along the way.
• Three charges of fun — the bag can be used three times. Enough to show your friends or film a flashy video before the item disappears.

The key task is to find Zhing alive. He belongs to the rare creatures with a long respawn timer, so the process almost always comes down to checking the spawn point and waiting.

1. Fly to the nearest flight point on Kun-Lai Summit.
2. Head northeast from Blossoming Winter toward the open plateau in the mountains, approximate coordinates 38, 53. The landmark is a flat clearing among the cliffs that stands out clearly on the map.
3. Look around. Zhing is a large mountain goat surrounded by a small flock of ordinary goat companions. He's hard to miss: he's noticeably bigger than the standard models and never walks alone.
4. Before attacking Zhing, wipe out his escort — the accompanying goats help him in the fight. At max level The War Within (80) this takes seconds.
5. Kill Zhing. He drops the Bag of Kafa Beans with a 100% chance.
6. Pick up the item and use it to summon the giant goat. Remember: the bag has only three charges.

Zhing is one of the most leisurely rare creatures in Pandaria. His respawn time is measured in hours, so be ready either to wait or to return to the spot several times.

• Use server-side rare-mob tracking tools. The RareTimer addon or an equivalent for your client will do — it shows how long it's been since Zhing was last killed.
• If Zhing isn't at the spot, swap to another game world via War Mode or shared realms (CRZ). On different shards Zhing spawns independently.
• Meanwhile, take care of other things in the zone: open treasures, finish the Kun-Lai Summit achievement, or collect other rare Pandaria creatures

The summoned mount is by no means an obedient riding horse. The Kafa-Crazed Goat effect is applied to the player, and the goat behaves in its own way:

• You can turn the goat, but you can't stop it completely — it constantly moves forward.
• Its speed comes in waves: an acceleration phase gives way to a brief pause, then it speeds up again.
• On rough terrain the mount easily carries you off a cliff — use it on open areas or level roads.
• Charges are spent on each summon, not over time. After the third use the bag disappears.

• Pick a high-mobility class for the search — a Druid in Flight Form, a Shaman with Ghost Wolf, a Monk with rolls or any fast-movement specialist sweeps the plateau quicker than others.
• Don't waste charges — save your uses for Pandaria's empty expanses or level roads. In cities and dungeons the mount usually can't be summoned.
• Plan a combined route — in a single trip to Kun-Lai Summit close several tasks at once: rare Treasures of Pandaria and the zone exploration achievement.
• Check the spot in the morning and evening on your server — Zhing is spotted most often during game-world shift hours, since the chance of meeting a fresh spawn is higher at the moment a shard changes.
• Don't look for Zhing at Elder Ezra Wheathoof or the Temple of the Four Winds — that's mistaken information from outdated guides. The bag has nothing to do with the The Tillers faction.
• For mount collectors — note that the item is not added to the mount journal and grants no permanent steed. It's a consumable souvenir, not an entry in your collection log.
• If you have several characters — hunt for Zhing on an alt while your main handles current tasks. The item binds on pickup, but you can search on anyone.
