Get Reins of the Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher mount
Overview

Reins of the Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher is a flying mount in the form of an undead frost wyrm with a distinctive crimson, blood-soaked coloration. The mount was added in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion (patch 3.3.2) and is the reward for the meta-achievement Glory of the Icecrown Raider (10 player). To earn it you must complete 16 achievements in the Icecrown Citadel raid on 10-player difficulty.
The Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher is a frost wyrm that suffered a particularly gruesome and bloody death and was raised from the dead by the necromancy of the Scourge. Visually it differs from its 25-player counterpart, the
Icebound Frostbrood Vanquisher, with a red-brown, blood-drenched hue, whereas the 25-player version has a gray-blue tint.
Why You Want This Mount
- Unique model — a Scourge frost wyrm with a bloody coloration. One of the few mounts with such a model available without any class or time restrictions
- Achievable goal — unlike low drop-chance mounts, the Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher is guaranteed for completing the meta-achievement. The result depends only on your effort
- Solo-friendly — all 16 achievements can be completed solo at max level 90 in Midnight. The raid clears in just a few minutes
- Collection value — the mount is account-bound and counts toward your overall collection total. The Icecrown Citadel pair (10- and 25-player versions) is a coveted prize for any collector
- Nostalgia — Icecrown Citadel remains one of the most iconic raids in World of Warcraft history. Earning the mount is a great excuse to run this content again

Step-by-Step Guide to Earning It
The meta-achievement consists of 16 achievements. Below is the full list with notes on completing each one solo at level 90.
Wing 1: The Lower Spire (Heroic)
Storming the Citadel (10 player) Heroic — kill all four bosses of the first wing on Heroic: Lord Marrowgar, Lady Deathwhisper, the Gunship Battle, and Deathbringer Saurfang.
Boned (10 player) — kill Lord Marrowgar so that no raid member is impaled on a Bone Spike for longer than 8 seconds. At level 90 the boss dies in a few seconds — he won't even get to use the ability.
I'm on a Boat (10 player) — win the Gunship Battle so that no raid member boards the enemy ship more than twice. When soloing, simply stay on your own ship and kill everything that appears. Use the cannons to destroy the enemy ship.
I've Gone and Made a Mess (10 player) — kill Deathbringer Saurfang so that he summons at least five Blood Beasts and none of them receives a Mark of the Fallen Champion from him. At level 90, kill the boss before the mechanic becomes relevant.
Wing 2: The Plagueworks (Heroic)
The Plagueworks (10 player) Heroic — kill Festergut, Rotface, and Professor Putricide on Heroic.
Dances with Oozes (10 player) — kill Festergut without a Big Ooze causing an Unstable Ooze Explosion. Kill the boss quickly — at level 90 he won't have time to create a Big Ooze.
Flu Shot Shortage (10 player) — kill Rotface so that each raid member is infected by Mutated Infection no more than once. The boss dies instantly at the current level.
Nausea, Heartburn, Indigestion... (10 player) — kill Professor Putricide without using a Tear Gas on the Abomination. When soloing, the Abomination is not active — just kill the boss.
Wing 3: The Crimson Hall (Heroic)
The Crimson Hall (10 player) Heroic — kill the Blood Prince Council and Blood-Queen Lana'thel on Heroic.
Portal Jockey (10 player) — kill the Blood Prince Council so that no raid member takes more than 23,000 damage from a single Shadow Resonance orb. At the current level the council dies in seconds.
Once Bitten, Twice Shy (10 player) — kill Blood-Queen Lana'thel once as a vampire and once without becoming a vampire. This is the only achievement that cannot be completed in a single run — you will need at least two raid visits on different weeks. On the first run, let the boss bite you, then kill her. On the second run, kill her before she applies the bite.
Wing 4: The Frostwing Halls (Heroic)
The Frostwing Halls (10 player) Heroic — kill Valithria Dreamwalker (heal her to full health) and Sindragosa on Heroic.
Portal Jockey (10 player) — enter every portal spawned by Valithria Dreamwalker before she is fully healed. At level 90, use powerful healing (bandages, spells) to heal Valithria before the portals appear. The fight ends in 10-20 seconds.
All You Can Eat (10 player) — kill Sindragosa so that no raid member gains more than 5 stacks of Mystic Buffet. At level 90, simply kill the boss — Sindragosa will die before she stacks 5.
Final Boss: The Lich King
Been Waiting a Long Time for This (10 player) — let the Necrotic Plague reach 30 stacks before killing The Lich King. This achievement requires patience when soloing:
- Start the fight with the Lich King
- Do not kill the spawning ghouls — leave them alive
- The Lich King will apply Necrotic Plague, which will jump between the ghouls, gaining stacks with each jump
- Wait until the plague reaches 30 stacks (track the stacks via the buff panel)
- After it reaches 30 stacks, kill the Lich King
Important: do not kill the ghouls and do not stand too far from them. If the plague has nothing to jump to, it will disappear and the stacks will reset.

Recommended Classes
Any class at level 90 will easily handle Icecrown Citadel solo. However, some have advantages:
- Druid, Paladin, Priest, Shaman, Monk — healing classes make the Valithria Dreamwalker fight easier (the "Portal Jockey" achievement)
- Hunter — the Spirit Beast pet has the ability
Spirit Mend, which helps heal Valithria - All other classes — buy
Heavy Shrouded Cloth Bandages on the auction house to heal Valithria
Raid Route
- Wing 1 — Lord Marrowgar, Lady Deathwhisper, the Gunship Battle, Deathbringer Saurfang
- Wing 2 — Festergut, Rotface, Professor Putricide
- Wing 3 — Blood Prince Council, Blood-Queen Lana'thel
- Wing 4 — Valithria Dreamwalker, Sindragosa
- Final — The Lich King
A full raid clear takes 15-25 minutes, including time spent waiting for Necrotic Plague stacks at the Lich King.
How Many Weeks It Takes
- At least 2 weeks — because of the "Once Bitten, Twice Shy (10 player)" achievement, which requires two kills of Blood-Queen Lana'thel in different roles
- In the first week, complete all the other 15 achievements and the first half of "Once Bitten, Twice Shy (10 player)"
- In the second week, finish the second half of that achievement
Alts
The meta-achievement counts for the entire account — you can complete different achievements on different characters. The mount will also become available to all characters.
Tips
Don't forget to set 10-player Heroic mode before entering the raid. If you accidentally enter on 25 player, the 10-player format achievements will not count
Buy bandages in advance if your class cannot heal allies. Bandages are needed for the Valithria Dreamwalker fight
Be patient at the Lich King — accumulating 30 Necrotic Plague stacks takes a few minutes. Don't give in to the temptation to kill the boss early
Track your progress through the achievement panel (the Y key) under "Dungeons & Raids" — "Raids: Wrath of the Lich King"
Don't confuse the versions — the 10-player achievement (ID: 4602) and the 25-player achievement (ID: 4603) are separate meta-achievements with different mount rewards
Resetting the instance — if you fail a specific achievement, leave the raid, right-click your portrait, and select "Reset all instances." A raid reset is possible once per week (resets on Wednesdays)
Gunship Battle — when soloing, activate the cannons and fire at the enemy ship. Try not to jump onto the enemy ship more than twice

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
