Get Reins of the Blossoming Dreamstag mount

Reins of the Blossoming Dreamstag is an epic ground and flying mount added in patch 10.2 "Guardians of the Dream" of the Dragonflight expansion. It is a graceful stag whose hide is covered with the vivid flowers of the Emerald Dream. The mount is purchased from Talisa Whisperflower at the Central Encampment in the Emerald Dream for 1 Seedbloom at Renown level 18 with the Dream Wardens faction.

The item description reads: "The hide of the Dream's young stags blossoms with the vivid colors of dreams." The mount model is rendered in the distinctive style of the Emerald Dream zone — the stag is adorned with blossoming sprouts, foliage, and a soft glow of nature magic.

There are two ways to obtain this mount: buying it from a vendor (the main, guaranteed route) and a random drop from a Dream Seed chest (the alternate route).

Method 1: Vendor Purchase (Guaranteed)

1. Unlock access to the Emerald Dream — this requires a level 70 character. Pick up the starting quest "Seeds of Fire" in Valdrakken and complete the short introductory quest chain
2. Build up your Renown with the Dream Wardens to level 18 (see the "Renown" section for details)
3. Complete the weekly quest Blooming in the Dream to earn 1 Seedbloom
4. Head to the Central Encampment in the Emerald Dream and find Talisa Whisperflower at coordinates 49.8, 62.0
5. Purchase the Reins of the Blossoming Dreamstag for 1 Seedbloom and use the item to learn the mount

Method 2: Random Drop (Alternate)

The mount has a small drop chance (around 1%) from Dream Seed chests that appear after planting a giant (purple) seed. This method is unreliable and is not recommended as your primary path to the mount.

The Emerald Dream is a zone added in patch 10.2 of the Dragonflight expansion. Your first visit requires completing a short introductory quest chain.

First Visit

1. Make sure your character has reached level 70
2. Head to Valdrakken and find the starting quest "Seeds of Fire". The quest is available at the notice board or appears automatically when you log in
3. Complete the short introductory quest chain, which ends with a transport into the Emerald Dream
4. Once the introductory quests are done, the portal to the Emerald Dream opens for all characters on your account

Quick Access (After Unlocking)

After completing the introductory chain on any character, the portal becomes available account-wide:

1. Head to Valdrakken
2. Find the portal to the Emerald Dream in the Emerald Enclave (coordinates 63.1, 57.7)
3. Step through the portal — you will arrive at the Central Encampment, near which Talisa Whisperflower is located

Vendor Coordinates

Seedbloom is a special currency that can only be obtained once per week per character. The sole source is the weekly quest Blooming in the Dream.

Weekly Quest "Blooming in the Dream"

• Quest giver: Talisa Whisperflower at the Central Encampment in the Emerald Dream
• Objective: plant 3 seeds in the fertile soil of the Emerald Dream
• Reward: 1 Seedbloom + a Cache of Gathered Dream Seeds (gear)
• Reset: weekly (every Tuesday)

How to Complete the Quest

1. Pick up the "Blooming in the Dream" quest from Talisa Whisperflower
2. Open the Emerald Dream map — the seed planting spots (Emerald Bounty) are marked with seed-shaped icons
3. Approach one of the 18 Emerald Bounty spots located throughout the zone
4. Use any seed from your bag (small, plump, or giant) next to the fertile soil
5. Wait for the growth to finish (about 3 minutes) — you can help by gathering Emerald Dewdrops and watering the plant
6. Repeat 2 more times to complete the quest
7. Return to Talisa Whisperflower and turn in the quest

Where to Get Seeds to Plant

Seeds come in three types: small, plump, and giant (purple). Sources:

• World quests in the Emerald Dream
• Rare enemies in the zone
• Chests and treasures
• Lunar Priestess Lasara (a vendor at the Central Encampment) — sells seeds for Dragon Isles Supplies
• Renown rewards from the Dream Wardens

Buying the mount requires Renown level 18. Each level requires 2,500 reputation points, so reaching level 18 requires a total of 45,000 points.

Main Reputation Sources

Superbloom

Superbloom is the main weekly event of the Emerald Dream. The Ancient of Lore Sprucecrown circles the World Tree Amirdrassil, causing nature to bloom. Your first participation each week grants 1,000 reputation and a cache with valuable rewards, including a Dream Wardens insignia (+1,000 reputation). Subsequent participations give 50 points each.

Emerald Bounty

Planting seeds at Emerald Bounty spots is the only way to farm reputation without limits. Each participation grants 20–40 reputation. While the amount is small, with active seed planting the reputation steadily accumulates.

How Long It Will Take

With active progression, reaching Renown level 18 takes 2–3 weeks. The story campaign immediately grants 15,000 points (6 levels), and the remaining 30,000 are gathered from weekly and daily sources.

Optimal Weekly Plan

1. Story campaign — if you have not yet completed all 6 chapters, this is the top priority. Each chapter grants 2,500 reputation
2. Superbloom — participate in the event at least once per week for 1,000 reputation and a reward cache
3. Weekly quest "A Worthy Ally" — complete it for 500 reputation
4. Quest "Blooming in the Dream" — plant 3 seeds to earn a Seedbloom
5. World quests — complete all available Dream Wardens quests
6. Emerald Bounty — plant seeds in your spare time for additional reputation

Speeding Up on Alts

The introductory quest chain into the Emerald Dream is completed once per account. On alternate characters you can immediately use the portal from Valdrakken and start building Renown. The weekly quest "Blooming in the Dream" is available on each character separately, so you can stockpile Seedblooms on several characters in parallel.

Calculating the Time to the Mount

The mount costs 1 Seedbloom, and the quest is available once per week. If you have already reached Renown level 18, you only need one week to get the mount. If your Renown is not yet built up, that is where most of your time will go — 2–3 weeks with active play.
