Bonecleaver's Skullboar is a ground mount from the world of Shadowlands, depicting a dead, bloodless boar with bare bones and a skull for a face. The mount's model belongs to the bloodfang family of Maldraxxus and visually mirrors the appearance of Gorespine, differing from it in its grey-bone coloring. The mount's flavor text in the journal states that Sabriel the Bonecleaver was known for the merciless efficiency with which she carved up her enemies, feeding their bones to her loyal skullboar.

It's important to understand a key nuance: as of April 2026, this mount is officially unavailable to players, despite its presence in the mount journal. The item has existed in the game database since 2020 (early Shadowlands) and was added to the mount journal in patch 9.0.1, yet not a single stated source of acquisition has ever worked. The journal states that the mount should be sold for 5000 Timewarped Badges by Collector Ta'steld in Oribos during "Timewalking: Shadowlands" weeks, but in reality the vendor doesn't have it.

The item Bonecleaver's Skullboar first appeared in the database during the development of Shadowlands in 2020. On early test servers, its source was listed as Sabriel the Bonecleaver — a level 62 rare elite enemy in the Theater of Pain in Maldraxxus. This rare is summoned by a Necrolord Covenant player through a rank 3 Anima Conduit and the daily quest "Spoiling For A Fight".

However, by the release of Shadowlands in November 2020, the mount had been removed from the mount journal, and Sabriel the Bonecleaver instead began dropping the Armored Bonehoof Tauralus — another bloody tauralus mount. From that moment on, the Bonecleaver's Skullboar became a "hidden" item — it existed in the database but never dropped or sold.

As of April 2026, Blizzard has not released any official comment or hotfix regarding this issue. It is presumed to be a technical glitch when adding the item to the vendor's stock.

Sabriel the Bonecleaver is a level 62 rare elite gladiator of Maldraxxus, located in the center of the Theater of Pain. She rides a bone-legged wargulf named Drolkrad and is armed with a runed corpsecleaver. It was her likeness that inspired the creation of the Bonecleaver's Skullboar mount in the developers' original plans.

To summon Sabriel, you need to:

1. Join the Necrolord Covenant and progress through the covenant campaign
2. Upgrade the Anima Conduit in Necrolord Hall to rank 3 — this requires accumulating anima and completing campaign quests
3. Channel a flow of anima into the Theater of Pain
4. Accept the daily quest "Spoiling For A Fight" from Au'narim in Necrolord Hall
5. Defeat five rivals in the Theater of Pain — after that, Sabriel will appear at the central arena
6. Kill her solo or in a group

In case Blizzard fixes the bug and puts the mount on the vendor's stock, remember the route to the merchant.

1. Teleport to Oribos via your Hearthstone or any Shadowlands expansion portal
2. Head to the Ring of Fates — the central hall on the city's second ring
3. Collector coordinates: /way #1670 56.6 63.6 Collector Ta'steld
4. Interact with her during any "Timewalking: Shadowlands" week to open the vendor stock

Collector Ta'steld also sells other rewards for Timewarped Badges: weapons, gear, cosmetic items, and other Timewalking: Shadowlands mounts.

As of April 2026, there are no active and verified ways to obtain the Bonecleaver's Skullboar. Nonetheless, it's worth keeping an eye on the following avenues:

1. Return of the mount to the vendor

The most likely scenario is that Blizzard will add the Bonecleaver's Skullboar to Collector Ta'steld's stock during one of the upcoming Timewalking: Shadowlands weeks. Keep track of patch notes, posts in the Blizzard Forums thread about missing rewards, and news on fan sites. As soon as it appears, you should visit the vendor and spend the accumulated 5000 Timewarped Badges.

2. A return to Sabriel the Bonecleaver

In theory, Blizzard could return the mount to Sabriel the Bonecleaver's loot pool — this would be the most "thematic" solution, since it is her name and likeness that are embedded in the mount's title and description. So far this hasn't happened, and the rare only drops the Armored Bonehoof Tauralus.

3. The Black Market

If Blizzard moves the mount into the unobtainable category in the future and then introduces it to the Black Market's assortment, the only way will be to purchase it at the Black Market Auction House from Madam Goya for in-game gold. At present, the mount is not included in the Black Market's assortment.

While you wait for the fix, stockpile Timewarped Badges and finish off the other Necrolord Covenant mounts:

• Armored Bonehoof Tauralus — from Sabriel the Bonecleaver in the Theater of Pain
• Gorespine — from Nerissa Heartless near the House of Rituals
• Armored Chosen Tauralus — for the achievement "Things To Do When You're Dead" with the Necrolords
