Breezestrider Stallion

Breezestrider Stallion is an epic ground mount added in patch 6.0.2 of the Warlords of Draenor expansion. It is a large talbuk with a bright red hide, massive twisted horns, and a thick white mane. The mount is purchased from the vendors of the Vol'jin's Spear faction in the Ashran zone for 5,000 gold and 100 Honor Points at the «Exalted» reputation level.

The Breezestrider Stallion's coloring reflects its nature: these animals are energetic, fearless, and fierce. The mount is a ground transport, increasing movement speed by 60% or 100% depending on your riding skill.

• Guaranteed acquisition — the mount is purchased from a vendor rather than dropping randomly. Once you reach Exalted and gather the necessary resources, it is yours
• Beautiful unique model — the red talbuk with imposing horns stands out among the other mounts of Draenor
• Available to both factions — although the purchase is only possible on a Horde character, once learned the mount becomes available to all characters on the account, including Alliance
• Rarity — according to Wowhead data, only 12% of players have the mount, making it an uncommon sight in capitals
• PvP status — owning this mount signals experience in Ashran and devotion to the Horde faction

To purchase the mount you must meet two conditions: reach the «Exalted» reputation level with the Vol'jin's Spear faction, and have 5,000 gold and 100 Honor Points.

1. Create or choose a Horde character — the mount is sold only on the Horde side
2. Enter Ashran — the epic battleground accessible through the PvP interface (default key H)
3. Raise your reputation with Vol'jin's Spear to the «Exalted» level (42,000 points total)
4. Accumulate 5,000 gold and 100 Honor Points
5. Find the vendor Dazzerian in Warspear (the Horde base in Ashran)
6. Buy the Breezestrider Stallion and use the item to learn the mount

Dazzerian — Quartermaster of Vol'jin's Spear — is located at the Horde base in Ashran, known as Warspear. To get there:

1. Open the PvP interface (key H) and queue for the «Ashran» epic battleground
2. After entering Ashran you will appear at your faction's base — Warspear for the Horde
3. Dazzerian stands near the other faction vendors

The second vendor — Maluuka Lightsong — is also located in Warspear and sells the same set of goods.

To reach the «Exalted» level you must gather 42,000 reputation points. Reputation is earned exclusively through PvP activities in Ashran.

Main Sources of Reputation

• Repeatable quests in Ashran — collecting trophies from defeated opponents (artifact fragments, bones, banner scraps) and turning them in to quest NPCs at the base. Each quest grants between 25 and 350 reputation points
• Winning events — participating in mini-events across Ashran (the coliseum race, gathering flameblooms, storming the fortress, and others) grants reputation for each successful completion
• Killing the enemy faction's general — the main objective of Ashran, granting a substantial reputation bonus
• Vol'jin's Spear insignia — sometimes drop as a reward and grant a fixed amount of reputation when used

Reputation Boosters

• Darkmoon Faire — ride the carousel to receive the «WHEE!» buff (+10% reputation for 60 minutes)
• Banner of Cooperation — a guild item granting +10% reputation
• PvP Bonus Event — during PvP bonus week, reputation gains for Ashran are increased

How Long It Will Take

The pace depends on your activity in Ashran. With regular participation in epic battlegrounds and turning in all available quests, reaching Exalted takes between 2 and 4 weeks. If Ashran comes up in the epic battleground rotation often, the process speeds up.

Honor Points are the PvP currency needed to buy the mount. The main ways to obtain them:

• Epic battlegrounds — completing a match (win or loss) rewards Honor Points
• Regular battlegrounds — less efficient, but Honor Points drop here too
• Random PvP tasks — weekly and daily PvP quests
• Brawl chests — participating in weekly brawls rewards Honor Points

100 Honor Points is a modest amount that accumulates over a few days of active PvP.

If you play Alliance, the equivalent of the Breezestrider Stallion is the Pale Thornback. This mount is sold by the vendors of the Wrynn's Vanguard faction at the Alliance base in Ashran — Stormshield. The requirements are the same: Exalted and the same cost.
