The Trading Post is a monthly reward system available to all players with an active subscription. Each month it features a refreshed selection of items that can be purchased with a special currency — Trader's Tender.

How to Earn Trader's Tender

Each month you can earn up to 1000 Tender:

1. Collector's Cache (500 Tender): automatically granted on the first day of each month to all players with an active subscription.
2. Traveler's Log (up to 500 Tender): by completing the monthly activities in the Traveler's Log — dungeons, battlegrounds, quests, and other activities. You don't have to complete every activity — you just need to earn the required amount of Tender.

Unspent Tender carries over to the next month and accumulates without limit. This lets you save up the currency for more expensive items.

Where to Find the Trading Post

The Trading Post is located in the faction capitals: in Stormwind (for the Alliance) and in Orgrimmar (for the Horde). Look for the special vendor tent.

The Brilliant Sunburst Peafowl first appeared in the Trading Post in January 2025 and returned in January 2026 at the same price of 750 Tender. At the moment the mount is temporarily out of the lineup, but based on the item rotation pattern, it will return to the Trading Post in the future.

The exact return date is unknown — Blizzard does not publish the rotation schedule in advance. It's recommended to follow announcements on the official website and social media, and to check the Trading Post lineup regularly at the start of each month.

The Freeze Feature

If the mount is available in the current month but you don't have enough Tender, you can freeze it. A frozen item stays available for purchase in later months until you buy it or replace it with another frozen item.

When it first appeared in January 2025, the mount supported only standard flying. However, on January 2, 2025, Blizzard released a hotfix that added dynamic flight support. The Brilliant Sunburst Peafowl now fully supports both flight systems.

• Save your Tender in advance. If the mount isn't in the current lineup, use the time to accumulate currency. Over two months you can gather up to 2000 Tender — more than enough for the purchase.
• Complete Traveler's Log activities. This is the main way to earn the additional 500 Tender on top of the automatic 500. Many of the activities overlap with regular gameplay.
• Check the lineup on the first day of the month. Item rotation happens monthly, and popular mounts can return.
• Use the freeze. If you spotted the mount but don't have enough Tender, be sure to freeze it — that way you guarantee you can buy it in the future.
• Follow announcements. Blizzard usually publishes a preview of the Trading Post contents a few days before the start of a new month.
