Get Bronze Vorquin mount
Overview

The
Bronze Vorquin is a rare ground mount added in patch 10.0.0 of the Dragonflight expansion. Vorquins are four-legged dragonkin that live on the Dragon Isles. They serve as the racial mounts of the dracthyr and are highly valued for their resilience in combat, even in the face of dragonfire. In appearance, vorquins resemble the qilin — a mythical creature from Chinese mythology that combines the traits of a dragon and a horse.
The Bronze Vorquin stands out with its warm golden-bronze scale coloring. It is one of four unarmored vorquin variants, alongside the
Crimson Vorquin, the
Obsidian Vorquin and the
Sapphire Vorquin.
Why You Want This Mount
- Affordable price — just 40 gold from a vendor, making the Bronze Vorquin one of the cheapest mounts in the game.
- Quick to obtain — dracthyr receive the mount for free via a quest right in the starting zone. Characters of other races buy it after grinding reputation.
- Unique model — vorquins look like no other mount in the game. Their draconic appearance with an elegant build stands out among standard mounts.
- Available to all characters — once learned, the mount becomes available on every character of your account.
- Collection value — vorquins are part of the dracthyr racial mount set, and the Bronze Vorquin will round out your collection.
How to Obtain
There are two ways to obtain the Bronze Vorquin: via a quest (dracthyr only) or by purchasing it from a vendor.
Method 1: Quest
While progressing through the Forbidden Reach starting zone, a dracthyr character receives the quest Cavalry Has Its Place. As a reward for completing it, you choose one of the vorquins, including the Bronze Vorquin. The quest also teaches the riding skill.
- Create a dracthyr character
- Complete the introductory quest chain on the Forbidden Reach
- Reach the quest Cavalry Has Its Place
- Choose the
Bronze Vorquin as your reward
Method 2: Purchase from a Vendor
If you didn't choose the Bronze Vorquin as your quest reward, or you don't play a dracthyr, the mount can be bought from one of two vendors for 40 gold.
For dracthyr: the purchase is available immediately, with no additional reputation requirements.
For characters of other races: you must reach the "Exalted" reputation level with the Obsidian Warders (Alliance) or the Dark Talons (Horde) faction. These factions became available for reputation grinding in patch 10.0.7.
Where to Find the Vendors
Treysh — Forbidden Reach
Treysh is a mount vendor among the dracthyr. She is located on the Forbidden Reach in the Old Wyrmwoods area at coordinates 45.2, 61.2. You can reach her while progressing through the dracthyr starting quest chain. After the return to the Forbidden Reach in patch 10.0.7, Treysh moves to the village of Morqut, where she continues to sell all the vorquins.
Tethalash — Valdrakken
Tethalash is the second vorquin vendor, located in the capital of Valdrakken. Look for this NPC in the Obsidian Enclave at coordinates 25.5, 33.5. This vendor is more convenient for characters who have already left the starting zone.
Reputation Requirements for Non-Dracthyr
Since patch 10.0.7, characters of any race can purchase the vorquins, but to do so you must reach the "Exalted" level with one of two factions:
- Alliance: Obsidian Warders
- Horde: Dark Talons
Reputation is earned through daily and world quests on the Forbidden Reach. With active play, reaching Exalted takes a few weeks.
Main Sources of Reputation
- Daily quests on the Forbidden Reach
- World quests in the Forbidden Reach zone
- Emissary quests when the corresponding faction is active
- One-time story quests of the Forbidden Reach chain

Tips
The fastest way — create a dracthyr character and complete the starting zone. It takes 40–50 minutes, and you'll get one vorquin for free via the quest, while the rest can be bought from Treysh for gold.
Buy them all at once — since you're already at the vendor, pick up all eight vorquins. The total cost comes to 480 gold (4 x 40 + 4 x 80), which is little to expand your collection by eight mounts at once.
Transferring gold — if your gold is on another character, mail it to the dracthyr before purchasing.
Non-dracthyr and reputation — if you don't want to create a dracthyr, keep in mind that grinding Obsidian Warders or Dark Talons reputation to Exalted will take several weeks. Creating a dracthyr is significantly faster.
The mount is account-wide — after learning the Bronze Vorquin on any character, it will appear in the mount collection of all your characters.
Riding skill — to use the mount you need the "Apprentice Riding" skill. Dracthyr receive it automatically upon completing the quest Cavalry Has Its Place.
