Overview

Felscorned Scythe of the Unmaker

Game iconFelscorned Scythe of the Unmaker is a two-handed staff that represents a green, fel-soaked appearance of the legendary scythe from Antorus, the Burning Throne. This is a decorative transmog effect: the model recreates the massive haft with its curved blade, but instead of the original cosmic glow, the blade and runes blaze with the poisonous green fire of the Burning Legion.

The main highlight of this appearance is that it is designed as a staff rather than the original polearm. This removes the class restrictions of the source model: the green scythe can be wielded by specializations that have access to staves — mages, priests, warlocks, druids, monks, shamans, and Evokers.

The appearance was added in the Legion Remix event, a limited-time return to Legion. The green variant is a prestigious reward for the raid's hardest achievement, so it appears noticeably rarer than the blue and red versions, which are sold for currency.

Source

The "Felscorned Scythe of the Unmaker" appearance is granted for completing the Mythic mode of the Antorus, the Burning Throne raid as part of the Legion Remix event. It cannot be purchased for currency — it is a reward exclusively for full completion.

  • You must defeat all bosses of the Antorus, the Burning Throne raid on Mythic difficulty, up to the final boss Argus the Unmaker.
  • It is the Mythic clear of the entire raid that counts, not a single kill of Argus.
  • The green appearance is bound to your party's transmog collection immediately after the condition is met.
  • The blue and red variants of this same model (in both staff and polearm form) are sold separately by the vendor Pythagorus at the Infinite Bazaar in Dalaran.
  • The vendor asks for 30,000 Bronze and 20 units of Game iconCosmic Soulsliver, which drops from Argus.
  • Argus the Unmaker drops 1 sliver on Normal difficulty, 4 on Heroic, and 10 on Mythic.

Visual fit

  • It harmonizes with sets in the green-and-black palette of the Burning Legion — kits with demonic and fel-themed designs.
  • It suits Warlock and Shadow Priest looks dominated by poisonous green tones.
  • It contrasts strikingly with light cloth armor, drawing attention to the weapon thanks to the bright glow of the blade.
  • It pairs with appearances that nod to Argus and the Legion invasion, thanks to the shared lore tie to the Antorus, the Burning Throne raid.

Tips

1

The green variant cannot be bought — plan a full Mythic clear of the entire raid rather than a targeted farm of Argus.

2

If Mythic mode is not yet available to you, start with the blue or red version from the vendor Pythagorus: the model is the same, only the color differs.

3

To buy the currency versions, stockpile inv_jewelcrafting_argusgemcut_blue_misciconsCosmic Soulsliver from Argus; on Mythic difficulty 10 slivers drop per kill.

4

The appearance is available to all classes that use staves, so the farm pays off across several characters at once.

5

The vendor Pythagorus is at the Infinite Bazaar on the island south of Dalaran — convenient to teleport to between runs.

6

The appearance is collected by the whole party: an unlocked version becomes available for transmog on all of your characters.
