Get Flame Wrath
Overview

Flame Wrath is a two-handed polearm of rare quality from the classic era of World of Warcraft. Its model is a massive spear with a broad, jagged head on a long, dark shaft, finished in stern steel without bright color accents. Despite its "fiery" name, the look itself is neutral and severe, which makes the spear a versatile foundation for brutal sets.
The weapon is worn as a polearm and suits classes that use this type: warriors, paladins, death knights, druids and demon hunters. The item level is 83 and it binds when picked up, so you will have to obtain it yourself.
The item has an on-use effect: melee attacks have a chance to surround you with a fiery shield for 15 seconds and release a ring of fire that deals damage to nearby enemies. The effect does not matter for transmog, but it looks impressive when the weapon is actually used.
Source
Flame Wrath drops from the Blackrock Depths dungeon, located in Searing Gorge.
- The drop source is Ambassador Flamelash, one of the dungeon's bosses.
- The chance to obtain it, according to Wowhead data, is around 22.96%, meaning the spear drops from roughly every fourth or fifth kill.
- The drop is not tied to a weekly lockout: the dungeon can be re-entered as many times in a row as you like.
- The content is long outdated, so it can be soloed on any modern class without any preparation whatsoever.
To reach Ambassador Flamelash, you need to go deep into the dungeon. This is not the first boss on the way, so plan for a full run through the location rather than a quick trip to the exit.
Who It Suits Visually
- It harmonizes with heavy plate sets in a dark and steely palette — for example, with warrior and death knight sets from the Blackrock dungeons.
- It looks striking in the hands of a demon hunter or druid, who are used to more exotic polearm models.
- It fits looks in the spirit of a "grim spear-wielding warrior" without ornate glows and crystals.
- Thanks to its neutral coloring, it pairs with armor of almost any color, serving as a calm base for a set.
Tips
The optimal classes for fast farming are paladin or death knight, due to their survivability and high dungeon clear speed.
The drop chance is high but not guaranteed, so plan for several runs in a row.
Reset the difficulty and re-enter the dungeon if the boss did not appear: mobs and bosses respawn on a new entry.
On the way to Ambassador Flamelash, kill the other bosses too — Blackrock Depths contains many other classic weapon and armor appearances.
The appearance is saved to your collection right after you receive the item; you do not need to wear the spear to unlock the transmog.
If you farm on several characters, remember that the item binds when picked up and cannot be passed to another character — you will have to farm the appearance on each one separately, or unlock it through the account-wide appearance collection.
