Spire of Flowing Void — Transmog Set Guide
Overview

Spire of Flowing Void is a rare-quality two-handed staff introduced in the Midnight expansion. It is a tall shaft crowned with a flowing cluster of void energy: deep purple and inky tones fade into a cold glow that echoes the Void theme at the heart of the expansion's central story.
The staff fills the two-handed weapon slot and, in transmogrification, suits classes that wield staves — druids, mages, priests, warlocks, shamans, and monks. Its item level is 237 and it binds when equipped, so you should farm it on the character who actually wants the appearance.
The value of this staff is above all visual. Its void silhouette with a flowing crown looks great in dark, otherworldly magical outfits, and it is noticeably easier to obtain than raid models in the same style.
Source
The staff drops from the rare elite enemy Abysslick — a void-natured aberration from the Midnight expansion's zones.
- Abysslick is flagged as a rare elite mob, so it does not appear constantly but on a timer at its spawn point.
- The staff's drop chance from it is around 39%, which is very high for a rare elite source.
- The enemy can be killed solo at the current level, but as an elite it is easier to take down with a partner or a small group.
- There is no limit on the number of kills: if the staff does not drop, wait for the mob's next spawn and try again.
Since the drop is tied to a single rare elite mob, the main challenge is catching it alive. Addons and rare-tracking channels that announce the target's appearance are a great help.
Who it suits visually
- It fits dark cloth sets with void and shadow themes — outfits for Shadow priests and warlocks.
- It harmonizes with a purple-inky palette and glow effects, for example with Arcane mage sets in cold tones.
- It contrasts with bright, nature-themed druid looks — adding a touch of the otherworldly.
- A solid choice for a "servant of the Void" or dark mystic concept.
Tips
Before hunting, set up rare-mob tracking — Abysslick does not appear right away, and it is important to be there the moment it respawns.
For an elite enemy it is more convenient to come as a duo: this guarantees the kill even on less-than-top gear.
The high drop chance means the appearance is usually collected in one or two kills — it is one of the most accessible void staves in Midnight.
If several people in the group want it, agree on an order: each participant needs their own drop.
The staff binds when equipped, so farm it on the character who needs the appearance.
Once added to your appearance collection, the staff becomes available to all eligible characters on the account.
