Expeditionary Quarterstaff is an uncommon-quality two-handed staff from the Exile's Reach starting zone. It is a deliberately plain model: a smooth wooden shaft with minimal ornamentation, designed for new characters. Despite its modesty, transmog collectors value this "clean" silhouette when they need a simple staff without flashy effects — for example, for the look of a wanderer, a monk, or a humble priest.

Only the model matters for transmogrification, so the appearance can be worn by any class that can use staves. In terms of stats it is a starter-level weapon with no combat value — it is taken purely for its looks.

The staff is given as a quest reward while completing the Exile's Reach starting zone — the tutorial path for new characters added in the Shadowlands expansion. The weapon is offered as a choice alongside other types of reward gear, so to obtain the staff specifically you need to select it in the reward window.
