Protection Warrior Guide for Midnight Season 2 (Patch 12.1)
About the Spec
Protection Warrior is a tank whose primary stat is Strength. In combat, it wields a shield and a one-handed weapon. It masterfully manages physical damage and boasts a broad arsenal of abilities to control the situation on the battlefield.
A defining feature of the specialization is managing the Rage resource, which builds up from taking and dealing damage and is then spent on powerful defensive and offensive abilities.
Strengths
- Performs very well against physical damage.
- Excellent mobility (Charge, Intervene, Heroic Leap).
- Group buff Battle Shout, increasing attack power for all party members.
Weaknesses
- Vulnerable to magic damage compared to other tanks.
- Survivability heavily depends on active use of abilities.
- Limited self-healing, requiring healer support during long phases.
