Holy Paladin
Holy Paladin
This is a healer whose primary stat is Intellect. In combat, they use a one-handed sword and shield (there are build variants using a two-handed intellect weapon, but they are less popular due to the rarity of such weapons and the inability to use certain abilities that require a shield). The distinctive feature of this healer is the Holy Power accumulation mechanic used to cast abilities.
Strengths
A large number of defensive abilities for both yourself and your group, such as
Blessing of Sacrifice,
Blessing of Protection.Ability to provide a group-wide 3% damage reduction through an aura.
Has full damage immunity thanks to
Divine Shield.Excellent single-target/spread healing.
Weaknesses
Healing depends on the rotation, as main healing abilities require the Holy Power resource.
Low mobility.
Must choose between dealing damage and healing.
Stat Priority
Talents
Rotation (Ability Priority)
Always spend Holy Power if you have 5 charges.
Light of the Martyr if you need to quickly heal a single target (use carefully, as the spell costs a large amount of mana). When
Infusion of Light procs, use
Flash of Light.
Best in Slot Gear (BiS)
Don't forget to explore our class pages, where not only the best items in the slot are available, but also other alternatives for any class, spec or situation:
Enchants, Gems, Consumables
Leveling Process
The basic health restoration abilities will be available to you at level one. Use
Holy Shock and
Flash of Light to restore health to yourself or group members.
As you level up, you will gain new abilities. We recommend following the ability priority from the rotation section.
Useful Tips for Mythic Keystones
1
Since healers no longer have an interrupt ability, use
Hammer of Justice to stun/interrupt a single target's cast and
Blinding Light for AoE interrupts.
2
Some slowing/rooting effects can be removed not by dispelling, but with the
Blessing of Freedom ability. This allows you to both help a group member and save your dispel for more important debuffs.
3
If a group member dies during combat and you urgently need to resurrect them, use
Intercession to bring them back into the fight. > Combat resurrections have a global cooldown of 10 minutes. Charges accumulate every 10 minutes, and the longer you are in the dungeon, the more charges you will have. You can resurrect multiple allies at once if you have enough charges.
