About the Class

This is a ranged caster whose primary stat is Intellect. The Demonology Warlock is a master of the Legions of the Void, who does not simply fight alone but summons hordes of demons to crush their enemies.

The signature feature of the specialization is the accumulation of Soul Shards to summon Wild Imps and more powerful demons such as Dreadstalkers. The gameplay revolves around empowering your main pet — the Felguard — and setting up powerful burst windows under Summon Demonic Tyrant.

Strengths

Excellent single-target damage and outstanding burst AoE damage.
Exceptional survivability thanks to passive talents and Dark Pact.
Having your own "tank" (Felguard) makes leveling and solo content very easy.
Constant damage even while moving (thanks to active demons).

Weaknesses

Damage heavily depends on the lifetime of summoned creatures (struggles in short fights).
Requires strict adherence to Tyrant summon timings.
Limited choice of active demons (Felguard is mandatory in 99% of situations).

Leveling

Demonology is the king of solo leveling. Your Felguard is so strong that it can hold huge packs of mobs and even elite enemies on its own.

Use Mortal Coil and Health Funnel so your Felguard never dies.
Pull packs with Doom or Demonbolt.
Explode mobs with Implosion when you have 6+ imps stored.

Mythic+ Tips

Tyrant Timing: Never summon Tyrant if you don't have active Dreadstalkers and at least 6-9 imps up. Tyrant extends their lifetime, increasing your damage exponentially.

Dark Pact is your main survival tool. The shield scales with your health, so using Soul Link makes it even more effective.

Summon Felguard — if your main demon dies, immediately use "Demonic Mastery" to re-summon it instantly.
