Demonology Warlock Guide for Midnight Season 2 (Patch 12.1)
About the Class
This is a ranged fighter whose primary stat is Intellect. The Demonology Warlock is a master of the legions of the Void who does not simply fight alone but summons hordes of demons to crush enemies.
A defining feature of the specialization is banking Soul Shards to summon Wild Imps and more powerful demons such as Vilefiends. The gameplay revolves around empowering your main minion — the Felguard — and setting up powerful damage windows for the Demonic Tyrant.
Strengths
- Strong minute-based burst with high single-target and AoE damage.
- High survivability.
- Strong tools for solo play.
- Provides
Demonic Gateway,
Soulstone and
Healthstone for the group.
Weaknesses
- No damage immunity.
- No raid buff.
- The Felguard's interrupt stuns the target.

Leveling Process
Demonology is the perfect specialization for solo play. Thanks to your Felguard you can hold an enormous number of mobs on it.
- Restore the Felguard's health with
Drain Life, but do not forget to pick up the
Infernal Beneficiary talent. - Blow up mobs with
Implosion when you have 6+ imps banked.
Handy Tips for Mythic+ Keys
Minute burst — Tyrant: you always bank 5 shards before casting
Tyrant, because our main damage depends on the apex talents — namely, the more
Hand of Gul'dan casts you use during
Power of Argus, the more damage you will deal.
Implosion we press on cooldown; with the
To Hell and Back talent we press it even on a single target. The minimum number of imps when pressing it should be 6.
You should cast all spells almost on cooldown with minimal delay to maintain high damage.
For survival use
Dark Pact almost on cooldown and the
Healthstone together with
Burning Rush in a single macro.
Macros

#showtooltip Demonic Healthstone /cast Burning Rush /use Demonic Healthstone
#showtooltip /cast [@focus,exists,harm,nodead][@mouseover,harm,exists,nodead][] Command Demon
