Outlaw Rogue Guide for Midnight Season 2 (Patch 12.1)
About the Class
This is a melee fighter whose primary stat is Agility. Outlaw Rogue is a master of swordplay and luck who relies on physical might, mastery of swords (or other one-handed weapons) and a bag of piratical tricks.
The defining feature of the specialization is managing two resources: Energy and Combo Points, along with the unique
Roll the Bones mechanic that grants random buffs. The gameplay is built around a high attack speed and reduced ability cooldowns thanks to the passive
Restless Blades.
Strengths
- High and consistent area damage thanks to Blade Flurry.
- Excellent survivability (Evasion, Cloak of Shadows, Feint).
- Strong target control (Blind, Cheap Shot, Kidney Shot).
- Reduced ability cooldowns let you use powerful skills often.
Weaknesses
- Dependence on luck with the Roll the Bones roll.
- A very high pace of play that demands quick reactions.
- Limited AoE range.

Killing Spree
Blade Flurry — Use on cooldown when there is a second target within cleave range, but try to use it at a low combo point count to gain the full benefit of
Deft Maneuvers
Roll the Bones — on cooldown if you are not yet at stage 2 or higher
Keep It Rolling — when you are at stage 3. If your next
Roll the Bones is unlikely to line up with
Loaded Dice, you can use it at stage 2 as well
Adrenaline Rush — on cooldown at a low combo point count
Blade Rush — on cooldown, as a regular builder
Between the Eyes — on cooldown at 6+ combo points
Set-up — to reset the cooldowns of Adrenaline Rush, Between the Eyes and Blade Rush
Killing Spree — on cooldown at 6+ combo points. Try not to use this ability while
Supercharger is active. Otherwise you risk overcapping energy, and it is recommended to cancel Killing Spree whenever your energy caps during its duration
Dispatch — as your main finisher at 6+ combo points if other finishers are unavailable
Pistol Shot — if you have 6 stacks of
Opportunity. If you have 3 stacks, use it only at 1–3 combo points
Sinister Strike — to build combo points

Leveling Process
When opening combat from
Stealth, use Ambush to quickly build combo points. Always keep
Blade Flurry active if you are fighting more than one enemy.
Useful Tips for Mythic Keys
Feint — use it before taking AoE damage from a boss or mobs.
Crimson Vial now restores more health, so use it preemptively.
