About the Class
This is a ranged healer whose main stat is Intellect.
Discipline Priest is a unique healer who heals allies by dealing damage to enemies. The mechanic revolves around applying 
Atonement, which converts a portion of the damage the priest deals into direct healing on all atoned targets.
The defining feature of the spec is preventive gameplay: the priest must prepare the group for incoming damage by placing Atonement on targets, and then use powerful offensive spells to restore their health.
Strengths
High burst HPS (healing per second) with proper preparation.- Good damage output compared to other healers.
- Strong defensive cooldowns such as Power Word: Barrier and Pain Suppression.
- Great utility: Leap of Faith, Mass Dispel, and Symbol of Hope.
Weaknesses
High skill floor: mistakes in preparation timing lead to a large loss of efficiency.- Low mobility: most spells require you to stand still to cast.
- Limited ability to perform emergency reactive healing without prior ramp-up.

Use Power Word: Shield before the pull, apply Purge the Wicked and attack with Penance. You will heal from your own damage, which greatly simplifies leveling. Discipline Priest levels comfortably without swapping specialization.
