This is a ranged fighter whose primary stat is Intellect. The Affliction Warlock is a master of curses, diseases and Shadow magic who slowly and agonizingly drains the life force from their victims.
The defining feature of the specialization is managing multiple damage-over-time effects and accumulating Soul Shards to cast powerful spells. The gameplay is built around flawlessly maintaining negative effects on several targets at once and effectively using burst-damage windows.

Pull mobs, applying Agony and Corruption on the move.
Once you gather 5-7 targets, use 
Seed of Corruption.
Restore your Voidwalker's health with 
Drain Life, but don't forget to pick the 
Infernal Bulwark talent.
Handy Tips for Mythic+ Keys
Refresh your DoTs (Agony, Corruption) when less than 30% of their duration remains. This lets you add the new duration to the remainder without losing a single tick of damage.
For survival, use 
Dark Pact almost on cooldown and 
Healthstone together with 
Soul-Fire in a single macro.
Demonic Gateway — use it for repositioning.
Soulstone — in Mythic+ always keep one charge on the healer or tank (Combat Res).
In Mythic dungeons run with the 
Felhunter minion to interrupt spells.
Summon Darkglare — use it only when ALL of your main DoTs are applied to the target.
