About the Class

This is a ranged damage dealer whose primary stat is Intellect. The Destruction Warlock is a master of chaos and fel fire, channeling devastating energy to incinerate enemies.

The specialization's distinctive feature is managing the Soul Shards resource and sustaining high damage through powerful spells such as Havoc and Chaos Bolt. The gameplay revolves around quickly generating shards and spending them efficiently inside burst windows.

Strengths

Massive burst damage both single target and on area.
High survivability thanks to Dark Pact and Strength of Will.
Unique utility: Create Soulwell and Ritual of Summoning.

Leveling

While leveling, your best companion is the Voidwalker (Bruiser), who will soak up all the damage.

Always keep Immolate up on targets.
Use Death Coil for emergency healing.
Drain Life will keep your demon alive indefinitely.
Group mobs together with Havoc and melt them with Rain of Fire.

Useful Tips

Dark Pact is a short-cooldown shield. Press it a second before a heavy boss ability hits you.

Demonic Gateway - place it in advance in dungeons and raids to quickly reposition around the arena.

Soulstone - in Mythic+ always keep one charge on your healer or tank (Combat Res).
