Survival Hunter
About the Class
Survival Hunter is a mid-range fighter who wields a two-handed weapon (polearms, staves, swords). In combat they use various bombs and volleys to deal damage. Despite belonging to the Hunter class, this specialization prefers dealing damage at mid/close range.
Strengths
- Solid and stable damage in both single-target and AoE situations.
- Simple rotation that lets you quickly learn the class and deliver strong results.
- Good survivability thanks to abilities that reduce incoming damage.
Weaknesses
- A small number of abilities, which significantly limits the rotation. The class may feel repetitive to some players.
- Requires melee or mid-range positioning, which can be challenging for some players.
- Few crowd control abilities and few utility tools for supporting the group.

As you level up you will acquire new abilities and move closer to your main rotation. We recommend following this ability priority as they become available:
Mythic+ Tips
1
Always use
Misdirection on the tank before dealing damage, or if the tank asks you to redirect threat from a group of mobs (for example, pulling mobs farthest from the tank, or if someone in the group accidentally pulled extras and the tank cannot redirect threat at that moment).
2
The ability
Feign Death lets you drop aggro from mobs if you accidentally pulled an extra group. It also lets you shed many targeted abilities from mobs and bosses.
3
Use
Camouflage if you need to walk past a group of enemies. This ability grants you full invisibility.
4
The abilities
Aspect of the Turtle and
Survival of the Fittest also work on summoned pets. Use them when you need to protect your pets or restore their health.
