About the Class

Havoc Demon Hunter is a melee fighter who wields two one-handed war glaives. The class has tremendous burst damage in both single-target and AoE, excellent mobility, and a simple rotation.

Pros and Cons

Pros Cons
🟩 Excellent damage in both single-target and AoE. 🟥 Strong reliance on the burst ability (Metamorphosis). Without it, the class damage is mediocre.
🟩 Simple rotation that allows you to quickly learn the class and perform well. 🟥 Requires constant movement across the battlefield, which can result in taking excess damage from mobs/bosses.
🟩 Has AoE crowd control and a group damage immunity for both raids and parties. 🟥 Very few abilities. The gameplay may seem boring to some players.

As you level up, you will gain new abilities, getting closer to the main rotation. We recommend following this ability priority as they become available:

AoE

Mythic+ Tips

Tip #1

Use the abilities Chaos Nova and Sigil of Misery to interrupt casts and control groups of enemies.

Tip #2

You can use the ability Imprison to lock an enemy in a cage and walk past them without triggering aggro. This ability is very useful in dungeons to skip difficult mob packs without fighting them.

Tip #3

The ability Darkness grants the group full immunity to incoming damage (in a 5-player group). Make sure to use this ability during heavy mob or boss abilities targeting group members. This ability also allows you to skip certain boss mechanics in dungeons, but it requires coordinated play from all players.
