About the Class

Havoc Demon Hunter is a melee fighter wielding two one-handed war glaives. The class has massive burst damage in both single target and AoE, excellent mobility and a simple rotation.

Strengths

Excellent damage in both single target and AoE.
A simple rotation that lets you pick up the class quickly and put up strong numbers.
AoE crowd control and a group-wide damage immunity that work for both raid and party play.

Weaknesses

Heavy reliance on its burst cooldown (Metamorphosis). Without it, its damage is mediocre.
Requires constant movement around the battlefield, which can lead to extra damage taken from mobs and bosses.
A very small ability pool. The gameplay may feel boring to some players.

From level one you already have damage abilities. Your main spells in the early levels are Felblade and Eye Beam.

As you level up you will gain new abilities and get closer to the full rotation. We recommend following the ability priority below as each one becomes available:

Mythic+ Tips

Use Chaos Nova and Sigil of Misery to interrupt spells and crowd-control enemy groups.

You can use Imprison to lock an enemy in a cage and walk past without pulling aggro. This ability is very useful in dungeons for skipping difficult mob packs without fighting them.

Darkness grants the whole group full damage immunity (for a 5-player group). Make sure to use it during heavy boss or mob casts aimed at party members. This spell also lets you skip certain boss mechanics in dungeons, but it requires coordinated teamwork from everyone.
