Get Fang of Oblivion

Fang of Oblivion is an epic-quality one-handed dagger added to World of Warcraft in patch 3.1 of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, alongside the opening of the Ulduar raid. It is a short melee blade designed in Ulduar's overarching "starry" art direction — the same style that defines the weapons and armor from the hall of Algalon the Observer.

This content belongs to the Wrath of the Lich King era and today is used almost exclusively for its appearance. The Ulduar raid has long been out of the current season, so in modern World of Warcraft the item is primarily of interest to transmog collectors and to those assembling looks thematically tied to the titans and the observatory.

Fang of Oblivion drops in the Ulduar raid on the Storm Peaks, and it has two overlapping sources — both tied to the 25-player version of the raid and its hard mode.

• The primary source is the Assembly of Iron encounter on hard mode in the 25-player version. Three bosses fight at once in the battle: Steelbreaker, Stormcaller Brundir, and Runemaster Molgeim. Hard mode is counted if the bosses are killed in the required order, and in that case their loot table is supplemented with additional items, including Fang of Oblivion.
• The secondary source is the Gift of the Observer object, a loot chest that appears after defeating Algalon the Observer in the 25-player version of Ulduar. Algalon is the raid's secret boss, and accessing him requires a key to the celestial planetarium.
• The key is granted for a series of tasks within the raid: first, the Assembly of Iron is killed on normal or hard mode to obtain a data disc, then the four raid keepers are cleared on hard mode and their seals collected, and only after that does the final quest for the planetarium key unlock.
• A weekly loot lockout applies to the bosses of Ulduar 25 per account, so you can reliably check for Fang of Oblivion roughly once a week. There are no hard restrictions on entering the raid itself — you can go inside as many times as you need.
• The fights themselves have long been soloable at current character level, but activating hard mode at the Assembly of Iron requires the precise kill order of the three bosses, and that matters more than the overall length of the fight.

The dagger's appearance is account-bound: once any character obtains the item, it immediately becomes available in the transmog collection on all the others.

Fang of Oblivion has no known direct color recolors with separate item IDs — it is a standalone appearance from the Ulduar weapon set. For your collection, it is worth looking at the neighboring daggers from the same raid, thematically tied to Algalon's observatory.

If you specifically want the Fang of Oblivion appearance, you will have to farm the item itself: it has no identical model with a separate ID. Daggers from the raid that are close in style complement the look well and are collected over the same run of clears.
