Flurry Axe — Transmog Set Guide

Flurry Axe is a one-handed axe with a rich history, available to warriors, paladins, and death knights. It is a reissued version of one of the most recognizable weapons from classic World of Warcraft: a compact battle axe with a wide blade and a rough grip wrap, free of needless ornamentation — a purely utilitarian, "working" silhouette that is prized for its simplicity.

The item's main feature is the "Flurry" effect: melee abilities and auto-attacks have a chance to grant a short burst of increased speed. It is precisely because of this proc that the original axe remained a cult item and a target for collectors for decades. The current version is flagged as "Timewarped" and belongs to the rewards of the Timewalking mode.

This variant of the Flurry Axe does not drop from bosses; instead, it is purchased with Timewalking currency.

• The currency is the Timewarped Badge, which drops from dungeons during an active Timewalking event.
• It is sold by the Timewalking vendors in the capitals: the axe is available in Orgrimmar, Stormwind, and in Tanaris near the Caverns of Time.
• The purchase requires no rating, reputation, or quest chain — you only need to save up the required number of badges.
• The item becomes soulbound on pickup, but the appearance is then unlocked in your transmogrification collection permanently.

To farm badges, run dungeons while the Timewalking week of the corresponding expansion is active. Each clear grants badges, and the final chest gives an extra reward.

The classic original — Flurry Axe — comes from the Maraudon dungeon. It still drops there today, has the same silhouette and the same "Flurry" effect, so collectors who don't want to spend badges can obtain the appearance directly from the dungeon bosses.

If you need a similarly shaped, "honest" battle axe without ornate decoration, take a look at the simple one-handed axes from the low-level dungeons of the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor — many use a related model with a different metal coloring.
