Get Forgestorm

Forgestorm is a rare-quality one-handed mace from the Dragonflight expansion (patch 10.0.2). The model uses a dark metallic palette with glowing orange-red veins: the head resembles a blacksmith's hammer with living flame seemingly running across it. This is a "crushing" weapon, so the appearance suits classes that wield one-handed maces — paladins, shamans, warriors, priests, and druids.

The item has its own "if worn" visual effect: attacks have a chance to "ignite" the weapon for 12 seconds, after which strikes deal additional fire damage split among nearby enemies. Because of this fiery animation, the mace looks especially impressive in motion and is prized as a transmog rather than as a combat weapon — with item level 53 stats, it has long been outdated.

The appearance is obtained from the Neltharus dungeon, located beneath the Obsidian Citadel in the Dragon Isles.

• The mace drops from the dungeon's final boss — Forgemaster Gorek.
• According to Wowhead, the drop chance is about 8.44%, so it usually takes several runs on average.
• Any dungeon difficulty works, including Normal, Heroic, and Mythic modes, as well as a Mythic Keystone.
• The boss is located in the far part of the dungeon: the map landmark is around coordinates 33.8, 65.6.
• There is no limit on attempts: the dungeon can be rerun as many times as you like, and on Mythic difficulty — once a day for guaranteed loot from the chest.
