The Frightskull Shaft is a two-handed blunt weapon from classic World of Warcraft. A large skull is fixed atop a long haft, giving it a dark and instantly recognizable silhouette: it is one of those early weapons that players deliberately collect for the look rather than the stats.

The model reads well from a distance thanks to the skull on its head and the dark haft. Although the item looks like a staff in the game, by type it is a two-handed mace, so its appearance can be worn by classes that use two-handed maces.

This is a rare item level 13 with a character level 17 requirement. It becomes soulbound on pickup and carries a "Chance on hit" effect that applies Weakening Disease — it deals a small amount of Shadow damage and reduces the target's strength. The effect is irrelevant for transmog, but it adds character to the item.

The Frightskull Shaft is loot from one specific enemy, so the farm is predictable: you just need to know who to kill.
