Get Anglers Fishing Raft

Anglers Fishing Raft is a collectible toy added to World of Warcraft in patch 5.0.4 alongside the Mists of Pandaria expansion. Originally it was an ordinary inventory item, but in patch 6.0.2 (Warlords of Draenor) Blizzard moved it into the Toy Box — the raft is now saved permanently and available to every character on your account.

When activated, the toy applies a ten-minute "Anglers Fishing Raft" effect to your character. While the effect is active, entering water no longer makes you swim: instead you stand on the inflatable raft and move across the surface. If you press the spacebar at that moment, the raft takes a paddle stroke and speeds up to roughly +130% water movement speed. The effect ends if you take damage or mount up.

The toy is considered one of the most useful "utility" items in the collection: it replaces water-walking potions and the water strider companion, has no cooldown, and works both for combat tasks and for fishing at offshore pools far from the shore.

• Free water walking on any class — the raft replaces the shaman's Water Walking and potions. No cooldown, and you can re-summon it immediately after the effect fades.
• Faster water travel — pressing jump turns the raft into a rowing boat, and you move across the surface noticeably faster than normal swimming speed. Handy for crossing large bodies of water in older zones.
• Convenient offshore fishing — standing on the raft, you can fish from deep pools you would otherwise have to swim out to. Especially valuable when collecting rare fish for friendship with Nat Pagle.
• Account-wide status — obtained once and added permanently to the Toy Box, available to every character on your account with no need to farm it again.
• Part of collection achievements — the toy counts toward the overall Toy Box counter and helps complete collection achievement tiers like Getting Younger.

Anglers Fishing Raft is sold by Nat Pagle — the quartermaster of The Anglers faction. To unlock his stock, you need to reach Revered with this faction. The whole process takes place in the Krasarang Wilds zone on the continent of Pandaria.

Step 1. Fly to the Krasarang Wilds

1. On any Midnight character (level 90), open the Shrine of Two Moons or the Shrine of Seven Stars in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
2. Take a portal to Pandaria or use a hearthstone bound to the shrine.
3. From any Pandaria flight master, fly south to Anglers' Wharf on the southern coast of the Krasarang Wilds.

Step 2. Grind The Anglers to Revered

Reputation accumulates through two methods that work in parallel:

The dailies are given by NPCs at the village — usually crab gathering, net fishing, or defending fishermen from mobs in the surrounding waters. After three or four weeks of playing the chain, you will be on the verge of Revered.

As soon as you reach Revered, be sure to buy the Grateful Offering from Nat Pagle. Using it doubles all subsequent reputation for the faction account-wide — saving dozens of days toward Exalted if you plan to farm the remaining rewards.

Step 3. Buy the raft

1. Open Nat Pagle's quartermaster window at Anglers' Wharf.
2. In the "Other" section, find the Anglers Fishing Raft.
3. The cost is 1000 gold. Pay it and take the item.
4. Right-click the toy to activate it — it will be added to the Toy Box automatically.

There is no need to buy it again: after the first activation, the item stays in your collection forever across all your characters.

• Effect duration: 10 minutes. After this time the buff fades and your character swims normally in water again.
• Cooldown: none. You can use the raft right after the effect ends or is removed for other reasons.
• Activation: a "buff on the character" type; the effect only triggers on contact with water — on land the raft is not visible.
• Speed: while walking on water you move at normal speed; pressing jump makes the character "row" and move noticeably faster (around +130%).
• When the buff ends: on taking damage, on mounting up, or once the 10 minutes expire.
• Works in the open world and most older zones. In dungeons, raids, battlegrounds, and arenas the effect is usually blocked — those areas have their own water-walking rules.
• Does not stack with similar toys — the raft does not work at the same time as other water-walking items like Bipsi's Bobbing Berg. Only the most recently used effect will be active.
