Get Fang of Alcruux

Fang of Alcruux is a one-handed dagger of rare quality that arrived in World of Warcraft with the Shadowlands expansion in patch 9.1. It is a short blade of "broker" craftsmanship: the dark metal of the edge is kept in a cold gray-blue palette, the hilt is adorned with curved overlays in the style of the Tazavesh cartels, and the model itself clearly echoes the denizens of the Maw. The silhouette is compact and dense — the weapon looks like a ritual knife rather than a classic combat blade.

The dagger belongs to the family of broker blades that first appeared in the Tazavesh, the Veiled Market dungeon. The item's stats boost agility, stamina, and weapon skill — in combat such a dagger suits rogues, druids, demon hunters, monks, and elemental shamans, but for transmog only the appearance matters. The exact same base model is used for the paired dagger Gluttonous Rondel, which drops from the same fight.

The item's main value is its appearance. Its combat stats became obsolete several expansions ago, so today the dagger is collected purely for the appearance collection: it unlocks account-wide, and any race and class can use it in transmog without restrictions.

Fang of Alcruux drops in the Tazavesh, the Veiled Market dungeon from the "So'leah's Gambit" encounter. This is a fight against three bosses at once, and the dagger is tied specifically to one of them — a gourmand named Alcruux.

• The dungeon has no weekly lockout — the encounter can be repeated without restriction, and each clear grants a fresh roll on the drop.
• In Season 3 of The War Within, the Tazavesh: Streets of Wonder wing was returned to the Mythic+ rotation, and the loot from the fight scales to the key level: the higher the level, the more valuable the loot.

To kick off the farm, it is convenient to keep a Tazavesh: Streets of Wonder keystone in your bag or to gather a group of friends at the desired difficulty. A full solo farm is only possible on heavily over-geared characters, since the encounter has three bosses with different abilities active at once.

Fang of Alcruux has no color recolors with separate item identifiers — it is a standalone appearance from the Tazavesh broker weapon set. Daggers similar in silhouette and materials should be sought among other loot from the same dungeon.
