Overview

Кровавая комета

Game iconBreeching Comet is a one-handed axe from the days of The Burning Crusade. The model is a compact single-edged blade with a dark metallic base and thin gold-and-crimson trim along the edge, which makes the weapon look lighter and tidier than the massive battle axes of the same era.

The axe suits classes that wield one-handed axes in the main or off hand: Warriors, Paladins, low-level Hunters, Enhancement Shamans, and Rogues. Thanks to its modest silhouette and contrasting finish, it looks great in sets where the main emphasis is on the armor rather than the weapon itself.

The item belongs to the Isle of Quel'Danas content and is thematically tied to the blood elves and the forces of the Burning Legion, against whom players fought in the finale of The Burning Crusade.

Source

Breeching Comet drops from the final boss of the Magisters' Terrace dungeon — Kael'thas Sunstrider.

  • The dungeon is located on the Isle of Quel'Danas; access opens after completing the introductory The Burning Crusade quest chain.
  • The axe drops only in the dungeon's Heroic mode — Normal mode does not grant this appearance.
  • The chance to obtain it from a single kill is about 0.19%, so farming may take many runs.
  • There is no cap on the number of attempts: the Heroic dungeon can be reset as many times as you like per day for a solo player, so farming comes down only to your patience.
  • At the current maximum level (90 in Midnight), the dungeon is cleared solo in a couple of minutes on any class.

Visual Compatibility

  • It harmonizes with sets in a red-and-gold palette — blood elf ensembles and gear themed around Al'ar and the Silver Hand.
  • It suits dark plate sets that call for a compact, uncluttered weapon to complement a large shield.
  • It contrasts with light cloth and leather armor, adding a focused crimson accent.
  • It works well paired with a matching one-handed weapon for Rogues and Enhancement Shamans, when you want a light rather than bulky silhouette.

Tips

1

The fastest farming method is to repeat Heroic Magisters' Terrace solo at max level, leaving and re-entering the dungeon after killing Kael'thas.

2

Paladins and Demon Hunters are convenient for farming thanks to their high movement speed and survivability.

3

Kael'thas is the final boss; you need to clear the three preceding bosses before him, so plan for a full run, not just the last room.

4

The same boss also drops other weapon and armor appearances from The Burning Crusade era, so runs pay off even without the axe dropping.

5

If the farm drags on, alternate Magisters' Terrace with the neighboring dungeons of the Isle of Quel'Danas so you don't burn out on a single route.

6

Check your bag after every kill: the appearance is added to your collection automatically when you pick up the item, and the duplicate can be sold.
